Hot

Very hot spell and towel rails were on high so bathroomss like saunas. Hot water is very hot and my room by the main road had superb soundproofing but the windows dont open so very warm. Food very good, staff very helpfull. Would I go back again, YES when it is cooler.

The staff were very friendly & accommodating, always happy to answer any queries. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The only negative we had was the lack of bottled drinking water in the bedroom.

Nice place to stay

Nice welcome friendly staff all round. Very good sized room, comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom with shower. Plenty of tea and coffee The room needs a little tlc but nothing badly The bathroom needs attention to mould around the shower tray it’s not a deal breaker Breakfast was good with a nice choice. The restaurant and bar is large well laid out and seems very popular Would definitely recommend the place

Wonderful!

The Peacock & Elephant was a wonderful place to stay, we were a group of 6 in three rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and supportive and accommodating. The food delicious and a really good atmosphere. The building itself is beautiful and many quality decorative touches everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is pub/Indian restaurant. Very friendly staff upon arrival Room was clean and comfortable. Evening meal was excellent from the Indian inspired menu. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice.

Pros: lovely breakfast, professional staff, peaceful surroundings, plenty of parking, lovely cosy pub. Cons: random banging noise throughout the night, soft mattress, dust in the room, creaking floorboards, no instructions on how to operate the heating.
