I had a wonderful stay among the redwoods. This home had everything I needed, plus a beautiful backyard perfect for reading and relaxing. Clean and tidy in a convenient location with easy access to hiking trails and nearby groceries. Host was kind and easily reachable. I would definitely return.
One of our favorite stays in Santa Cruz area!! Lynn is a fabulous host and has created an idyllic cottage - it was better than the photos⊠everything is new and lovely. It is very quiet and set back from the road. My adult kids (and their dog) joined us to attend UCSCz graduation ceremonies for our younger son. They slept on the pullout couch and we had the master bed. We liked having time to relax on the porch and the back courtyard. The kitchen had everything we needed too. Would definitely stay again - thanks Lynn!
This gorgeous cottage is ideally located to visit giant redwoods, and visit the ocean in MANY California state parks, Henry Cowell, Big Basin, Wilder Ranch, Natural Bridges, and Nicene Marks are easily accessible. Kitchen is well equipped, property sits behind the main house, surrounded by beautiful trees. Even the day the temperature rose to 89 degrees, it was easy to cool down and sleep at night.
We love this property! We are repeaters because the property is beautiful! The kitchen is one of THE best equipped we have seen. The back garden is adorable and the front porch lets you drink in the beauty and peace of the gorgeous redwoods. It is tucked away yet so close to all the conveniences you'll need. Lynn is a wonderful host, very responsive and has really thought about everything you need.
The property was great! The house was fully stocked with everything we could need except of course perishable food. We really tried hard to think of something we would need but couldnât think of anything. âHats offâ to the owner of this property.
We loved this property. We have stayed in hundreds of vrbos and this is one of our favorites. It is beautiful, comfortable and one of the best well stocked places we have stayed. It is peaceful and quiet yet close to so many things to do. We will definitely come back!
Weâve stayed at a lot of short term rentals but this has to be one of the cutest, well appointed, and best stocked ever. Great house in a great location!!!
Stayed for 5 nights while in town for a wedding. Cottage was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Would 10/10 stay again when I visit the area.
The weather during our stay was in the high 80's low 90's and the home had no AC. It would have been fine if a fan had been available.
The bed in the only bedroom was very uncomfortable, the bed pillows were very uncomfortable also. Other than these 2 issues the home was very nice.
Our stay was wonderful! The cottage is beautifully designed and very cozy. The scenery from the front porch is breathtaking. We look forward to staying there again!
Just enjoyed a long weekend at this newly remodeled cottage right off Highway 9 (traffic noise from Hwy is soothed by a nice fountain in the backyard). Great location to enjoy Ben Lomond, Felton and the Santa Cruz area.
My husband and I along with our teenage daughter and her best friend stayed with us. We had to share the bathroom with our daughter and her friend. This was awkward in the middle of the night as they were on the sofa bed and had to travel through the master to the bedroom. This inconvenience was expected and our daughter's friend is like family so it wasn't a problem. The master bed was very comfy and the whole house and furnishings are brand new so it was all lovely. They have spared no expense in the kitchen. We cooked a couple times and had everything we needed. The cottage is very close to Henry Cowell State park for hiking and biking! We did the Ropes course and Zip lines at Mt. Hermon Adventures (fantastic tour through the redwoods at tree level!) and it was a blast.
Communication with the host was good and we enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean upon arrival and was stocked with about everything you would likely need. We had a few minor things which were taken care of by the hosts with diligence and care. This is a great little area up in the trees with a fantastic Italian bakery and market right around the corner. The property was very quiet with the acceptable amount of highway noise which is understandable due to its proximity. If you're looking for a great kick off point to visit Santa Cruz, Monterey, Half moon Bay etc, this is a great spot to get to many things within 20 to 90 minutes up and down the coast. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.
The house is so cute and clean. I think everything was well thought out and most supplies we needed were readily available. Very peaceful we enjoyed our stay!
We loved this gorgeous little house in the mountains amongst the redwoods! It is lovely inside and out. The house is beautifully decorated in relaxing grays and blues and the furniture is so comfortable. A large ceiling fan helped keep the house cool when we had some unusually warm temperatures. Everything is new, including the bathroom and the bright kitchen, which has every new appliance you could want. You can watch hummingbirds drink from the feeder next to one of the windows while you wait for your toast to pop up. We loved having morning coffee on the front porch sofa or hanging swing while watching and listening to a huge variety of birds flitting about the redwood covered hillside. In the evening we saw three owls swooping silently through the woods. After dark we drank wine in the zen-calm little backyard to the sounds of the water fountain, under enchanting string lights and an amazing tree that looked like a giant bonsai. There is a fire table we would have loved to use, but it was too warm while we were there. We hope we will get to stay here again someday.
This property was the cleanest vacation rental I have stayed in. The host, Lynn, has fully stocked the kitchen. She even included 2 kinds of coffee. We enjoyed relaxing in the backyard and especially the swing chair out front.
Very quiet, immaculate, decorated with care and upscale new appliances. Easy access to outdoors for pets. About 20 minutes to Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz. Well marked on highway Ca 9 but use caution if coming from the south to cross traffic. Best to drive to red light in Ben Lomond turn and head south on Ca 9 you can safely enter on the right side. Great hiking trails throughout the area. We loved it.
