This location is SO great! The host left us a bottle of wine and bag of coffee which we enjoyed both! We walked everywhere we went. The home was clean and worked for our small family.
Cozy little hidden gem -- would definitely stay here again! As promised, you can truly walk everywhere! Looks exactly like the listing and we got complimentary coffee grounds and a bottle of white wine. There's a patio out front which is great for coffee-sipping, people-watching, and dog-spotting. Beds were nice and comfy. Shower was decent, showerhead is fixed to the wall but you could adjust the spray/water pressure a little. Comfortably sleeps four with a queen bed and a queen-sized pull-out; it got a little difficult sharing one bathroom between four girls over four nights and only being provided 3 rolls of toilet paper... Luckily, Jackson's Corner cafe across the street has a couple bathrooms (which I used only after making a purchase- 8/10 food but prepare for a long line).
The house is fine. Accommodations are moderate quality, same as the photos. The reason for my rating is the terrible response from the host when I found rodent droppings in the kitchen. I sent a video to the host and they said they were âsorryâ. Sorry is great but it doesnât change the fact that I paid good money and prepared food in the same kitchen as rodents and rodent feces. Absolutely unacceptable response from the host and I will not stay with this host again at any of their Oregon homes.
Perfect place for our needs. Good friends 2 blocks away. Walking distance to just about everything. Off street parking. And a nice bottle of wine and some coffee as a welcome gift! Wholeheartedly recommend.
Property was clean and tidy. Had all the amenities i needed. Nice location, close to Downtown and great breakfast to dinner place right across the street
Excellent areaâŠvery clean spaceâŠexcellent communication with owner (really didnât need any!)âŠwill definitely stay againâŠthanks for making our time in Bend worry-free and comfortable!
I had an employee retreat in Bend and had two of my employees stay in this cute studio. The place looked exactly like it does in the pictures online and served it's purpose which is mainly for sleeping and if you want the ability to have snacks/small meals in, that too. But it's in such a great part of town that you don't really end up spending too much time inside. It's walkable to downtown, Old Mill and Box Factory with tons of food trucks, wine bars and breweries. It's also right across the street from Jackson's Corner. The only hiccup was that on the second day, the power went out in the bathroom and bedroom. Per their instructions, we tried to fix it by resetting a breaker but that didn't work. They had someone come out the same day to fix it which was great. Communication on this issue overall was great, but there were several hours in the afternoon where I hadn't heard a follow up on when someone would be coming out despite the property manager saying messages had been sent to me (which I never got). But - in the end, it was fixed and they were very apologetic. Check in went smoothly as well other than that I was getting nervous at not having any communication on the check in process up until about 3 hours before we were allowed to check in. I think having 12 or 24 hours notice on how to check in would be better, so guests are worried that something maybe hasn't gone through correctly! Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great spot in town.
Great, modern, clean, safe one bedroom. The bedroom has a door that separates it from the living room / kitchen. Nice, firm latex bed gave a very comfy sleep. Good AC that kept us cool in a hot day. Bathroom is good, but the shower is a bit tight but has good water pressure.
Kitchen is small but perfect for snacks/ small meals. Youâll probably go Directly across the street to Jacksonâs for coffee / breakfast Sammyâs and wonât eat in. They also have a selection of drinks for sale and stay open until 7 ish?
Unit is on the corner, behind a tree so it took us 2x to find it and the parking space. But once found it was great.
Bedroom is on a residential, but somewhat busy street with some traffic, but that all dies down by around 6 pm and itâs very quiet after that
Walking distance to the river to rent kayaks and the old mill so if your are doing local things you can bike or walk just about everywhere
Great place!
I was on my own for this trip, once I arrived I didnât need to start my vehicle again until time to leave. I stayed 3 nights, the weather was beautiful, the little community was so inviting.
I will return, hopefully this little space will be available again.
Nice location and mostly clean and in working order. If the sleeper sofa is also used and left folded out the place becomes very small.
There are a couple of things could use attention and for these I will opt to try another place the next time I am looking to stay in this neighborhood.
The bedroom door doesn't latch, which would be fine for some small groups (myself most of the time), but I had one late evening work call to take and wasn't trying not to wake my son in the other room.
The other note is that the shower could use a different shower head so that it can be aimed down and not at the far wall or door - a temporary fix can be had by running the water at ultra-low pressure but is a hassle to adjust it to still get it to spray. Given that the corner shower is a very small one, this added acrobatics reminded me of budget college housing. The overshot on the showerhead directly against the door hinge is also a long-term problem for the owner as this allows water to leak out if opening the door when the shower is on, which then pools water on the floor and is generally not great for the life of the floor material under the vinyl flooring.
The kitchen is small, and just barely functional for one person. The fridge can be especially challenging to access - I used a cooler for extra items that would not fit. Many who stay here may opt to eat out most of the time - I made all meals using either the cooktop or the toaster oven. Note: a microwave oven was listed, but I don't remember seeing one during my 5-night stay.
A couple of the pans were not washed after previous guests had checked out. This included the frying pan and the broiler pan in the toaster oven. This was fixed by running both through the dishwasher.
I slept on the sleeper sofa, and this is a very comfortable sleeper sofa - was much appreciated. When moving the coffee table to fold out the sofa the first night, I noted the carpet and floor wasn't particularly clean under the furniture. Not super dirty, but enough to notice at quick glance.
Note: There is not much storage space, so if you are there with skis and a bike that you want to bring inside, the space gets tight fast. Also, there was no obvious access to trash/recycling (if there was, I missed it and did not get time to ask the property manager) and so after a 5-night stay, the trash bins were very full.
This is a cute one-bedroom property in a fabulous location (especially for non-winter activities). The kitchen is minimal which was fine for me. Jacksonâs Corner across the street is a great plus!
