Hotel near the airport

The hotel was near the airport in Bergamo, however there was no airport shuttle. The restaurant was closed by 8pm.

Strange but OK

Very quirky decor. Needs to be toned done. lifts slow and scary. Good value and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Bus and taxis very good. Great place to explore local region, especially Lake Iseo. Would happily stay here again.

Disappointing

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the airport but as there is no airport shuttle, we spent a lot on taxi fare to/from the airport and the city centre. Each fare starts at €10 before going anywhere! We arrived in the evening and left early the next day, so the idea was to go for dinner and then to bed. However, as there were not restaurants nearby we had to get a taxi to the city centre and back. Overall, we should paid the extra and chosen a hotel in the centre. Una Hotel is also stuck in the 70s, if you like blue, mirrored bedrooms and outdated interior design, then this is your place - otherwise stay away!

sauna is not all that its just a steamer inside a tiny shower, the buses in bergamo r unreliable so prepare to pay 30 euros for a taxi!

Best in Bergamo as a 4 star

This in the best 4 star hotel in Bergamo. Well placed (not near the airport, but close enought pe be there in 7 min), with a free parking and a nici terrece to drink a cofee. I recommend it for business trips and also for vacances

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Bar could have been friendlier, but hotel staff were great and very helpful.

Like an abandoned office block

This hotel was once amazing (back in the 90's). I felt like I was walking into an abandoned office block, the place smelt musty & the gardens & lawns were overgrown. Room was clean & tidy & the staff were very helpful. Should only really achieve a maximum of a 3 star rating.

Cool hotel!

A very interesting hotel... unusual modern architecture and decor give the hotel a unique and pleasant ambiance. It is a bit difficult to get from this hotel to major sites in the city... either taxi, one bus line, or a long walk. It's in a good neighborhood. Service at the hotel is friendly, prompt, and excellent. A good hotel experience!

Pleasant surprise!

We stayed only one night in this hotel after 4 nights in Milan where we had a rather disappointing stay. However, on arrival at the Una Hotel Bergamo, this made up for everything. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the room was huge and very clean. The decor of the hotel was lovely, fresh, and relaxing, and the price was good. The food in the hotel was amazing - compliments to the chef! Would certainly consider a return visit with a longer stay

UNA Hotel, Bergamo

Big modern hotel. May be a bit impersonal for some but I liked it. Room huge and very clean and well equipped. On site underground secure parking, Approx 30-40 min from Milan Linate airport along autostrada. I chose this hotel to access Linate airport (meeting family members there) the following day as I had stayed in Bergamo before and liked it, knew my way around (easy - it's quite compact and very close to the A4 autostrada) and didn't fancy looking for an overpriced, possibly inferior hotel in Milan. I'd do it again.

Quite good and clean hotel

As expected. Everything is a little bit aged, and could be refurbished. But the whole hotel is clean and comfy, breakfast is good. Beds are convinient. Receiption staff very friendly. Satellite TV only has some italian and very few foreign language channels (not main channels). Hotel can be reached easily by coach 8 (busstop in front of main door mon-fri, 5minutes away at weekends (just walk the main road about 6min in the direction of the city and turn right at the next traffic lights).

Good value

Although this hotel is looking a bit tired overall it was a hotel i would return to.The location is a bit out of the town but there is a regular bus service and you are not paying premium rates for location,location,location.I do think that improvements in the form of pool would encourage more people to stay longer and they certainly have the space.The breakfast was ample and all staff were friendly and helpful.The rooms were spacious and the shower/sauna combo was amazing i have never seen one of those before.What a lovely city Bergamo is and i will encourage people to visit as not only is it close to the lakes/Milan/Venice etc but a beautiful city in its own right.

could have been so much better with a little thought

before we went out for the evening we booked our pillows from the "pillow menu".The man at the front desk recommended that we go to the "old town",so we took his advice and he booked us a taxi,and we had an excellent evening.The problem is that when you try to get a taxi back to the hotel it is very hard to get one.I phoned the hotel and the man on reception said they dont send out taxis to their customers.(we hailed a taxi after 20 mins).Back at the hotel our pillows had not been brought to our bedroom,after asking why we were told the pillow room was locked.It was only after a couple of harsh words that our pillows promptly arrived.Definitely not 4 star service

Was once nice, not any more

This was at one time a big classy hotel (mid 1990's). Now, it has fallen into disrepair. Completely dark floors, lawn wasnt mowed, couldnt read the sign out front, using the parking garage was a nightmare. Internet was expensive. Front desk staff was not very friendly. With new management this could be an amazing place, but it needs some help. The rooms were still comfortable and clean.

Nice touches make the Uno fun if you don't mind a walk

We stayed for two nights to explore what Bergamo had to offer. Regarding location the Una Bergamo is a little out of town, and there weren't many Number 8 buses on a Sunday, so we ended up walking into Town, quite a treck from the Una, but it was worth it. The hotel rooms have weird but interesting decor and we ended up with a suite at no extra cost. The highlight however is the shower. Once you shut the door you can put on the radio and set the sauna to whatever temperature you want and relax. This three in one, shower, sauna and music booth is such good fun you come home wondering how you could fit one in your kids room and convert the cupboard under the stairs into a bedroom for the kids. If they could invent a two person one it would be perfect.

Very practical and convenient

Hotel is modern & clean. Room was large. Hotel is outside central Bergamo, but convenient for motorway, and daily shuttle to town. Irish bar with restaurant on opposite side of road on left, serving food until past midnight (useful if arriving late)
