The sitting area invites you to long evenings. With a book. A glass of wine. Or just each other's company. In the fully equipped kitchen, you effortlessly conjure up dinner. Think slow food by candlelight, while outside the wind gently rustles through the dunes.

The bedroom is small but grand in atmosphere. A lovely double bed, surrounded by silence. You sleep deeply here, wake up to birdsong, and start your day under the refreshing shower in the modern bathroom.

Within ten minutes, you walk into the artistic heart of Bergen. Boutiques, galleries, wine bars - the village oozes character and culture. Stroll through the streets, be surprised by local art or enjoy a cappuccino on a sun-drenched terrace.

From Alkmaar, follow the signs towards Bergen. Drive through the centre of Bergen and follow the signs for Bergen aan Zee. Take the Eeuwigelaan to the roundabout towards Bergen aan Zee and Egmond.

At the roundabout, go straight on onto the Herenweg (N511) and, after about 200 metres, turn left into a residential area. At the beginning of this neighbourhood there is a sign with house numbers 11 to 23-S.

In the neighbourhood, turn off at the second house with the large yellow mailbox and the sign ‘Duinstudio Bergen’ on the right in the garden. Take the gravel path to the back and you will have arrived at Duinstudio (Duin Cottage).

You can park your car in the private parking space right next to Duin Cottage.
