Der Sachsenhof ist gut gelegen, fünf Minuten von der S-Bahn entfernt. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Frühstücksbuffet reichlich. Die Zimmer sind ideal für einen Aufenthalt in Berlin, wenn man tagsüber unterwegs ist, weniger zum sich Aufhalten drin, da sind sie eher kleinräumig. Das Bad im Einerzimmer war dagegen grosszügig und bot auch Abstellfläche. Als Altbau ist es eher ringhörig. Da die Besucher/innen das wissen, ist es in der Regel ruhig und die Nachtzeiten werden eingehalten. Einziger kleiner Makel: Als der Lift ausser Betrieb war, fand es der Herr an der Rezeption nicht nötig, den Gästen mit dem Gepäck zu helfen. Er wartete unten an der Treppe und entschuldigte sich für den Betriebsausfall.
