Betterton 24

Lovely stay at this Betterton Beach property. The convenience of having so many essentials at your finger tips helped make this a great stay. Providing towels, sheets, soap, paper products, spices, coffee and condiments along with beach gear is a great touch. The property has a lovely view of the bay. The location was convenient with easy access to the beach. Enjoyed staying at this comfortable home, found the decor intriguing. Owners were very responsive.

Charming condo

The condo was nicely decorated and comfortable, Except for the bunkbeds. The bunkbeds are probably great for kids, but we had an adult sleeping in one of them and, Despite the wider width, The mattress was not comfortable for a heavier body. A massive amount of little bugs made sitting outside in the dark Difficult. Kitchen was very well equipped and bathrooms Were lovely. There is not much around Betterton Beach, except the beach, which is on the river. The compound had a pool, but it was not open during our stay, due to problems with the water quality. We did go to Annapolis one day, Rockhall, And Chestertown other days. But we did leave one day early as Two days on the beach seemed to be plenty And the pool was not open.

The condo is everything we expected, clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The beach and fishing pier are nice as well. The best part is the owner, Steven is prompt, accommodating, and kind. My son and I had a great time over the Labor Day weekend, we would recommend this condo wholeheartedly.

Beautiful property and location!

We stayed at Steve & Jeanie’s condo for part of the week in July and it was excellent. The communication from them was great and everything in the condo was spelled out and labeled. They provided cutlery, plates, cookware, cleaning supplies, basic toiletries, etc. It was a very well appointed property! The town of Betterton consists mainly of the beachfront and the condo was very close by. We used some of the many beach toys they provided and everyone had a great time at the beach. The pool is also easy to get to but is a little bit of a walk. We ordered pizza and steaks from the pizza place and all was very good. Overall a great property in a very quiet beach town! Great hosts and a great experience!

Great Getaway

A lovely place to unwind, enjoy a slower pace, and renew an appreciation for Chesapeake Bay and Maryland's Eastern Shore. We found a home away from home, with all the comforts and necessities for a week at this historic bayside resort where there is scant nearby shopping. Owners have thought of everything, even the little details like sunscreen, a map and history of the area, paper products, beach chairs and umbrellas, detailed guest expectations so that this well designed and nicely decorated condo can remain well maintained and clean for all. We especially enjoyed electric grill and dining on our deck with views of the Bay, daily chats with the Park Supervisor at Betterton Beach, short trips to Chestertown for history and ice cream, and to Rock Hall for seafood. Sunset at the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge with eagles and red winged blackbirds was a lovely end to a day of exploring. Friendly locals, no crowds, no traffic, no mini-golf, no jelly-fish, and the occasional barge, sailboat, fishing trawler, in view. Perfect place to restore and recharge. Hoping to return soon. Thank you, Steve and Jeannie for making your lovely Betterton home available on VRBO.

Beautiful and relaxing with all amenities

We had a fabulous week in Betterton at this property. The condo is very clean and comfortable. The decor made the place feel warm and relaxing - which is exactly what we hoped for. Its equipped with everything we needed - including sharp knives. Loved that we did not need to supply dish soap, etc. We enjoyed walking along the beach and exploring local small towns, winery, etc. We enjoyed many meals on the deck, loved that the master suite opened to the deck and that we could see the beach/water from the property. Steven was incredibly responsive (within 5-10 mins). But we had zero problems. I’d put this up as one of the most comfortable VRBO rentals we have ever stayed in. If you are looking for a place by the water away from the bustle - this is it. While we did not use the beach toys - there were plenty to make a family happy too!

Ultimate relaxation

My boyfriend and I stayed at this condo in early October and really enjoyed the condo and the surrounding area. The condo is very well-appointed, well decorated and very cozy and clean. Really appreciated the keurig coffee machine! The owners are great to communicate with and were very understanding when we had to change our check-in date at the last minute. Chestertown is a very cute town about 20 minutes away. Lovely farmers market on Saturday morning, and we ate at both Figg's Ordinary (all gluten-free) and Cafe Sado (Thai fusion cusine) during the course of our stay. In town of Betteron where condo is located, we enjoyed peaceful walks and watching the sunrise/sunset. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here!

We had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect and everything you need is there. The little touches were really appreciated (coffee, creamer, soap, paper products). Surprise Gem So Close to Home

Great experience overall... Very responsive prop manager. Beautiful property; spacious. Thoroughly clean and refreshing...fully equipped kitchen with condiments, delicious coffee and tea, paper goods. Great AC. Very comfortable beds. Bay view...about 1000 ft to beach. Be prepared to drive some distance for supplies, restaurants and entertainment. Bring a robe...no window coverings in main room or kitchen.

Relaxing condo with Chesapeake view

We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped and beautifully situated condo. Betterton is a quiet town away from stress, traffic and worries. Chesterton is only 20 minutes away with restaurants and a full grocery. We'll definitely consider returning.

FANTASTIC CONDO!!

1. The condo is beautiful with a roomie porch that has a lovely view. 2. Well stocked kitchen, Kerig cups provided as well as sugar and creamer. So nice. 3.Beds were super comfortable. We were happy to have bunk beds in one room for the kids! 4.Use of all beach toys, beach chairs etc. This was an extra bonus since there really wasn't room in our car for toys. 5.The beach was a 3 minute walk.... How awesome is that! 6.Read the emails from the owners as there are no grocery stores close by . There is 1 pizza place that delivers but we preferred our own food and it was so easy to cook/warm up in the kitchen. 7.A GOOD TIME FOR ALL AGES!!

Wonderful, family-friendly condo near charming beach

My family and I wanted a long weekend away to relax, spend time together, and enjoy the beach—and this place checked all three of those boxes and then some! A short walk from Betterton Beach, this was a perfect spot to enjoy a weekend out of town. Steven and Jeannie thought of everything: check-in and out were both easy and smooth, the basement was great for washing beach towels and suits, and each of the spaces in the condo had all we needed. For example, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals, and over the course of the weekend we used both the inside dining table and the porch table. The basement had sand toys and floats that were great for the beach. Such a nice touch! The condo is a short, easy walk down to the beach, and we spent a lot of our time swimming and playing in the sand. There are also tables in the shade within eyesight of the beach and a pavilion up a set of stairs. We had one of our lunches at the pavilion, and it worked great! Since it we were there only 48 hours and the beach was such a hit, we didn't take much time to explore the area. We did notice a couple playgrounds on the way into town. We ordered pizza at Marzella's on Friday and they were busy enough that I had to go pick it up (rather than it being delivered). No issue at all; just sharing that so there are no surprises. Like the listing says, there are not any stores close by, so I would recommend bringing groceries with you so you don't need to run errands. This was a great place to spend the weekend—clean, cozy, well-stocked, and perfect for our family! Thank you so much!
