The cabin and property were beautiful! We were so comfortable there and loved that they accommodated dogs. We were up north to get married and we're glad to be able to come back to such a relaxing space after a long and stressful (in a good way) day. It was everything we could have hoped for. 10/10, highly recommend.

Just a quick 2 night stay for a golf getaway. Location was perfect for the courses that were played. Booking was just a bit confusing as you end up dealing with a mgmt company and not VRBO. Property was as listed. a bit musty but to be expected when kept closed up and hot tub looked to need some maintenance/cleaning. All in all, would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, clean and secluded atop a large hill. Quiet nature surrounded us, giving plenty of privacy while enjoying the hot tube after our long days of walking through nature and beaches with some trips to the sleeping bear dunes. This was a very enjoyable location!

The house and location are very nice. There are several things that need updating. The grill and gas fireplace are both old and need replaced. The hot tub had sand and leaves in the bottom. The railing on the rear deck was broken and had rotten sections and the deck boards had sections that need replaced.

Quiet and super comfortable

The pictures don't do this cabin justice! So many sitting areas with couches and comfy throws, and outdoor spaces to listen to the birds on the huge deck or read a book on the front porch. Location was great for us as we made a couple trips to Sleeping Bear but close enough to go cherry picking in Traverse City. We found the basement layout fine; the half bath is in the laundry room but there is a door separating it from the bunk bed space. Kitchen very functional, hot tub was very hot and the driveway was not as scary as the description made it sound (although we never encountered a neighbor car which would have definitely been interesting). It felt like home from the first step inside!

Fantastic off lake and private location. Excellent accommodations and architecture. Good location for site seeing and outdoor activities or private socializing. Good hiking, canoeing, boating, swimming, art shows and hot tub. Good food nearby. Very comfortable and cozy.

A Wonderful Stay at a Wonderful Property!

We had a great stay at the Hillside Hideaway. The property was extremely clean and spacious. Check-in process was seamless, and Jean the property manager was very helpful. Comfortable beds, and we were happy to find that the main floor bathroom had a shower head added to the tub! Great location, only a few minutes from Crystal Lake Marina where we had our boat rental. The deck is beautiful, and we loved having the hot tub to relax in after a long day on the lake. The only issues we experienced were with the grill and bonfire. It took a while for us to get the grill going, and only the front burners worked. We tried many times to get the bonfire lit, with no luck. I texted Jean, and she advised that the ignition button no longer works, and gave instructions on how to light it. We tried a few more times with no luck, so we didn’t end up being able to use it, which was definitely a bummer, but not the end of the world. Hopefully they get it repaired for future stays, since it’s a great amenity to have in the evenings. Overall we’re very happy with everything and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun weekend getaway!

Property and house are gorgeous! The property managers are fantastic and highly responsive. The sleeping bear dunes has phenomenal views and the lake itself was awesome! We can't wait to come back!

My husband and I loved our stay. We truly wouldn’t have changed a thing! We loved the private location- felt like we were alone in the woods! Loved the hot tub which was very clean. We loved the decor, cleanliness, the great fireplace and very comfortable king bed. We’d recommend this place to anyone and look forward to returning!

Comfortable, clean, and lots to do

I stayed here for a get away vacation. A chance to relax and unwind. The property was very quiet and private. The house is very clean and has plenty of amenities. I was staying by myself, but it would be great for a family, there is pleof sleeping.I loved the fireplace and hot tub. The loft upstairs is cozy too For watching a movie.

Amazing Getaway

The cabin was immaculate. Easily the nicest and cleanliest vacation home we have rented. Eric and Jean were easy to communicate with and very friendly. 10/10 would definitely recommend this cabin, or any property from this group just based on this one.
