Wonderful Stay!

This was our first time in Big Bear & we had such a wonderful time at the house! It was exactly as described & the host was so communicative and helpful during the entire process. The bed is extremely comfortable. And the house is very well located. We've already been recommending the cabin to our friends and very much looking forward to returning :)

Cozy and Comfortable Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at Winterland Cabin. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The yard area was the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee and for the dog to run and play.One of our favorite touches was the thoughtful goodies they had for us to use and keep as momentos. Jennifer was responsive and respectful, making the entire experience easy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

My husband, daughter and two young granddaughters stayed three nights in this beautiful mountain cabin. I rely a great deal on reviews when renting a vacation home. The Winterland cabin provided what we had hoped for based on other reviews, but still exceeded my expectations. This is an adorable cottage, in a quiet and stunning neighborhood. The house is immaculate, very well maintained and stocked. The owners truly thought of everything, from the amenities for my dog, throw blankets in the living room, decorative battery candles throughout, to the little black towels in the bathroom to wash off your makeup. I truly felt like a valued guest. Bedrooms are comfortable and provide plenty of storage. Bathroom included some essentials, plenty of towels, and the shower has great water pressure (important). The location of this house is perfect for accessing many stores, and Big Bear activities. Less than 5 minutes from the Village and spots such as Boulder Bay Park, and lake swim area, and Mineshaft Coaster, Alpine and Water Slides. We even found a great spot, only a few minute drive, for a picnic lunch, at Juniper Point, with a hike along the lake. There are a lot of things to encounter from this cabin’s location. The backyard is beautifully, landscaped with everything to create what I described as a dreamy, tranquil oasis. Also, the kids and my dog really enjoyed the yard. Finally and importantly, the care and responsiveness of the host, Jen, was over and above. Thanks, Liz M.

Big Bear Weekend

We decided to head up to Big Bear to enjoy the early "summer" activities and found this gem of a property to stay at. I say "summer" in quotations because a late snowstorm came through one evening while we were there. Luckily this perfectly appointed house had a cozy fireplace and hot tub to keep us warm during the unexpected weather. We had the opportunity to also enjoy the backyard since the first day was sunny with warm weather. We loved our time at the house and will be returning (in real summer) with our pup in tow. Also, the owner was so responsive and accommodating anytime we reached out to her; that always makes the stay that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to get back!

Can you give more than 5 stars?

So grateful for our stay!! The yard was SAFELY fenced and extremely large for our dogs to enjoy. The house was adorable and slept 5 very comfortably. Water pressure amazing and water heater was top notch with temperature and length of shower. Beds were very comfy as well as the pull out on the couch. Host left extremely thoughtful treats for our dogs & other goodies. We are looking forward to staying here again. If you’re looking for a great experience this is it. The customer service and communication was very thoughtful & caring. Happy to have found our new regular spot. Thank you for having us!!!

Perfect Mountain Retreat for Our Family, Including Our Fur Babies!

We had an amazing stay at Winterland Cottage! The cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated, offering plenty of relaxing space. We especially loved the outdoor area – the fenced yard, spa, and fire pit were perfect for winding down after exploring. Our dogs had a blast running around the yard, and we appreciated that there was no pet fee, making it feel extra welcoming for our furry family members. The cabin’s amenities were top-notch, from the Nest thermostat to the entertainment options (Roku TV with cable, ping pong, and darts). With all of the thoughtful extras included, it truly felt like a home away from home. The location is great, too, central to everything: Snow Summit, Bear Mountain, the lake, and some dining options. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly getaway in Big Bear!

Great mountain stay

This house is really amazing. Very modern inside with updated appliances, supplies, and furniture. It felt like a remote mountain stay but is really just off the main road in Big Bear. Nice fenced-in back yard. The hot tub worked great. I would recommend this home for family or friends get together. I will look to rent it again with my next trip to Big Bear.

Better than expected!

My husband and I rented Winterland Cottage based on excellent reviews. We were not disappointed! Communication was prompt, and owner Jennifer was available from start to finish. She was very dedicated to making our booking process and stay just perfect for us. If you are looking for a home that is beautiful, comfortable and with an excellent location, this is the one. This cottage is nestled in the tall pines and has privacy from neighbors. The area is upscale and woodsy. The only noise we heard was the wind in the pines surrounding the home. We went for daily walks around the area with our little Havanese dog. She also enjoyed the magical backyard area as much as we did! We did not use the hot tub but for those who like them, it’s situated in a beautiful setting. The kitchen was very clean and was fully stocked with everything needed to make a meal, including spices. There was also a coffee bar with ground coffee and keurig pods, hot chocolate, tea and mini marshmallows. We were gifted with two Winterland mugs and a bag of locally ground coffee to take home. The bathroom was lovely, as were the bedrooms. We closed the door to the bedroom we chose not to use, and slept on a very comfortable memory foam mattress in the other bedroom. Loved the ceiling fan and tv there too! The living room has comfy seating, fireplace and big screen tv including premium channels. We loved our stay. Don’t hesitate to book this one. We will be back. Relaxing Getaway

We had such a a nice stay at the cottage. There is nothing we needed. Everything at the house was top notch & comfortable! We enjoyed playing games, sitting outside, watching the dog sniff around the fully fenced backyard & watching movies. It was nice to get away from work & decompress.
