Wonderful little cabin with bunk beds. The outdoor kitchen is incredible. We spent a week here as a family this year and had a blast. We spent our time doing river floats, exploring waterfalls and just lounging around camp.
Truly enjoyed my stay in your cabin! Everything was super clean and comfy. Everything I needed for my getaway. Jimmyâs was on point for all of my grocery and ice needs, stream was a little low but still found a hole deep enough to dip in. What a relaxing stay hiking several nearby trails. Iâll be back! Thanks!
We couldnât have been more thrilled with our stay here! The site was clean and beautifully prepared for us, and the scenery and streams were breathtaking!
The sleep space/cabin is quite run down and smells very mildewy. Not meant for a romantic stay. We really wished we had brought a tent but what is the point of glamping if you have to pack a ton of stuff. Outhouse is fine but needs a new toilet seat and an extra step for short people. The river is beautiful but a little walk. Reality is that it is a very beautiful spot but just needs some love like railings for the steps, new door.... We are out of shape so we just had to be very careful. Cooking space was great. Just needs some tlc and updating in the cabin, fireplace rebuilt. Thank you for reponding to our call though.
Found the cabin on the second try, itâs hidden in plain sight, right off the road. Hosts provided welcoming touches like a personal sign and flowers. Itâs a basic setup much like camping and we brought some basic kitchen stuff and lighting devices, which helped. The stream was full and flowing fast and loud, but subsided over time. One night it rained and the tin roof was like a drum, making sleep tough, wished I had brought a tent for that situation. The site is level and spacious. Firewood, supermarket and laundromat are easily found on 201. We enjoyed staying here and exploring the area.
Camp was perfect and tho it rained, we stayed warm and dry and salvaged a few sunny dry moments each day. From the welcome sign at the drive entrance to the flowers on the table, the place was comfortable like glamping should be!
Although because of circumstances beyond our control we were unable to stay as long as we wished, the location and communication with the host were both excellent. The site is serene and provides (primitive) necessities. The river is lovely and, combined with the surrounding woods, provides respite from the modern world.
I knew this was very rustic. I thought there would be a swimming area to just sit. It was where the two rivers/streams come together. Not safe for children as the water to rough and getting to the little pool of water is quite a challenge for anybody with disabilities or of older age, which was very disappointing. The property itself was secluded and camp life. The kitchen and picnic area were delightful. The Porta potty smelled awful, and look like it had not been cleaned in a while as there was about 10 empty rolls of toilet paper, which even if itâs a porta potty with something thatâs private like this there is plenty of solutions for them to be clean and inviting do use. The cabin was what I expected as there is no windows of any size to circulate air and thereâs no power for a fan, so be prepared that it is extremely hot. The rug was standing very nasty and the very small space that was there was very unpleasant smelling due to it, smelling like a woodstove thatâs got wet. I try to splain with Lysol, but itâs so overpowering. If you like nature being outside, itâs a quaint little spot and I would recommend it. If youâre looking for anything that is rustic but still expect cleanliness and need to be sanitary. I would not recommend this place it is not somewhere you would want to walk around in bare feet. Some attention to detail cleanliness replacing some carpets, and odors and a screen door for ventilation, and make this a much more appealing place to stay.
This was our second trip to this wonderful location and we enjoyed even more than the first time.
Excellent communication, wonderful location and patient host!
My husband and I love this rental. Very well taken care of, easy to get to and right off the beaten path. This was our second time staying here and we cannot wait to stay again next year.
We just enjoyed two days disconnecting with our dogs. The place is beautiful. The cabin is basic but clean and comfortable. We loved the charming little touches like our name on a painted sign marking the driveway and fresh wildflowers in a pot on the table. We loved the outdoor kitchen. It had everything we needed. The stream is lovely and there are little trails around the property to explore. It was quiet except for the sound of the stream rushing over the rocks. Thereâs a hammock, a swing, a firepit. It was everything we were looking for. Would definitely return.
I expected this place to be beautiful based on the photos, but we had an AMAZING experience, from the little signage with our last name on it at the entrance (which made my daughter cry), to the fresh flowers on the table, to the cabin equipped with everything we needed for an amazing experience. I only have 2 words for the host: thank you! For allowing us to share your little paradise. This was our first camping trip with the kids, and we had a great time.
I wish I could give 10000 stars.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The Manuel family
Exactly what we hoped to find! Rustic feel with total privacy, a great swimming hole and an excellent fire pit. Nice touches throughout (propane heater was key in the chilly evening). Thanks for a great stay!!
The best part of this property was most definitely the area where the 2 streams join. It really does form a perfect little swimming area. My dog loved it and my husband and I spent a couple hours just chilling in the stream. The property is very private. You do get some road noise, mostly ATV traffic passing by. But it is set back far enough from the road that it wasn't an issue for us. The cabin isn't exactly luxurious...it is exactly what you need when you want to be spending your time outside anyway, it is a place to sleep. The kitchenette was perfect and there is a nice size fire pit. The nice hand-painted sign with our name on it was a nice touch. Be sure to check out nearby Houston Brook Falls, not a hard hike and it is a beautiful water fall.
This is the best cabin to still feel connected to nature and off grid. I love the brook, thereâs always something to explore.
Thanks again for a great retreat. Canât wait to come back :)
This place was perfect in every way. A lot of these ways were aspects we never thought of. The layout of the site was open yet not too distant from each station. We called them stations, the kitchen, cabin, fire pit, outhouse and the 5 second walk to the creek! They stock the place with virtually everything you'd need although we brought our supplies to be certain we would be fine. They had a hand painted sign on a tree with our last name on it and it almost made my girlfriend cry over how cute it was. The entire area is just breathtaking. I strongly suggest downloading the all trails app to find local trails rated to match your comfort levels. We found two trails with overwhelming waterfalls. You can tell that these folks have thought of everything by the way their property is laid out. This was truly a dream vacation and we thank them with all our hearts. We will specifically target this again for a future booking. This checked off all the boxes of what we wished for. Remote, private, close proximity to moving water, vivid mountainous views and quiet. If you want all these things, book this place!! Hurry before it's all booked out!
We spent the weekend here as a family with our dog, 10 year old and 15 year old. We had a wonderful time making sâmores, playing in the stream and stargazing. Highly recommend!
