Loved the tranquil setting and the beautiful historic building and grounds. Friendly and helpful staff in the dining room and on reception. Really enjoyed the treatments in the adjoining spa.

Interesting building. Comfy bed but small room. Only serviced if requested but this was not communicated. Disappointed that bar/lounge being renovated so not able to sit with open fire. Toiletries had to be requested. Service in makeshift bar very slow. Staff in restaurant polite friendly and efficient in comparison.

Lovely venue, amazing staff, great rooms and one of the best Buffett breakfasts have eaten in a long time. The stafff here are very customer focused, friendly and professional. Would strongly recommend

Beautiful grounds and very well maintained hotel. Location is not so easy to reach without GPS.. Be aware, for clients who have problems with stairs they should request ground floor accommodation. My room was two flights of stairs!! Otherwise extremely good.

Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds

First impressions were so good. The long drive up to the hotel is stunning as is the building itself. We booked 3 rooms - classic, executive and delux. As we wanted a twin - the hotel confirmed that only the executive could be converted. This room was in a different part of the hotel to the other 2 rooms and was a bit dated. Still comfortable and very very big. To be honest there wasn't much difference between the other 2 rooms and they were absolutely lovely.

Nice hotel in lovely grounds

Pros: The decor, grounds and pleasant staff.
Cons: evening meal could be larger or more reasonably priced. I had a tastecard or I would have been disappointed with portion size and I have a small appet
Arrived early but could check in, lovely room with patio door leading to a small table and 2 chairs. meal was lovely however small and expensive. Breakfast was also lovely a buffet with plenty of choice.

Charmant hôtel rénnové

Cons: Bruit / isolation des chambres et ascenseur.
L'hotel est une ancienne demeure magnifique, au calme dans un grand parc vert. Les chambres sont maginfiquement rénnovées avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit déjeuner est standard, sans plus.

Great fancy hotel away from most things

Pros: Serene environment. room was beautiful.
Cons: heating in the room for cold days and nights.
Location: villages are around, restaurants and shops within 5 minutes drive. its really great for a quiet getaway from the hustle
Overall, quick check in, not so difficult to find. but really out of the way. However some good restaurants in the villages around. Room was very well presented. However, could have been warmer for a very cold night. same with the bathroom. floor was very cold as was tiles, could have done with providing some slippers for this. Gym was ok for the hotel. enjoyed running on treadmill watching tv. wifi connection not very good here. Also in the hotel, mobile connection is dicy. Quick check out
