Pros is it is in a very good area and the lady checking us in was nice. Cons - never have I ever stayed in a hotel and felt so unsafe. We returned back in the evening and were greeted by a man who seemed off his face on drugs. He could barely even stand up and didnt seem to know what was going on. We were going to leave our pram downstairs but instead we used it to barricade the door. We were meant to be staying 2 nights but we left the hotel the next morning. The corridor stunk up near our bedroom which the lady sprayed some air freshner which made it better, the rooms were not the cleanest AVOID AT ALL COSTS I have suggested to ebookers that they should remove this hotel from their website.

This hotel is also known as Hawes Hotel. It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. When we checked in the lady was very pleasant and showed us to our room. We should have left then but we also had 2 family rooms booked and were unlikely to find anywhere else to stay at short notice. We decided to make the best of it and went out for a few hours. When we got back the front door was locked so we had to ring the bell. It was eventually opened by a man who was clearly drunk or worse who barged passed us and ran up the street. There was also other men in the bar area who were passed out on the chairs. We went to our rooms, barricaded the doors and tried to get some rest. We left at 9am the following morning and wont be back. One of my daughters had booked for 2 nights but didnt stay the 2nd night. I dont know how ebookers have these hotels on their booking sites.

Upon arriving, called the hotel to inform them we would be arriving at 3pm, on arrival the gentleman could not find my booking, showed him my booking confirmation on my phone, he stated he was overbooked and was having to re locate guests. Paid the full price quoted on my booking confirmation, and was given room, was told would bring some fresh milk that never arrived, upon entering room, no tea or coffee and the cups were dirty, room was tiny and the window had no handle to close it, toilet was dirty, had to clean it before use, toilet light didn't work, could explain why there was urine on the pan. The only plus was the bed, it was comfy, upon checking out was asked if slept ok? Would of expected "did you enjoy your stay? Any issues etc? Informed him of light and stated he was already aware. Cleaner wanted notice in window, Not booking here again
