Excellent example of a Premier Victorian Hotel that has seen many historical events but is now rather hanging on to its days of past grader but still has a fantastic faded charm. Visit if you can before it is no more!

A very nice hotel to stay in. The room this time wasn't the nicest or the comfiest of beds. The bloke next door had a great sleep with the amount of snoring!!!

Dated property, old worned out furniture in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was very basic, the fried eggs were rubber in consistency and tasted flat. No much diversity. Spa and pool closed Location is good , the properties would be great if it undergoes some refurnishment.

Our stay began with a good check-in although, the room was a tad on the small size and it proved difficult to store our luggage. Housekeeping was either poor, fair, or excellent. The Imperial Hotel breakfast is pretty good and staff are particularly helpful in helping guests to desired seating. We especially enjoyed the morning fresh pastries but a little horrified to seeThe Churchill Room as a play area, surely a bar or reading room would be more fitting! The hotel is a magnificent listed ll building and it’s directly opposite the tram stop, it’s a shame that the Heritage trams are currently not running as they would add to a wonderful view.

In desperate need of a refurbishment in the rooms and more staff. Breakfast long wait and over half an hour for tea and coffee which was disgusting. Disturbed sleep with windows rattling. Parking should be free if your staying at the hotel. Expensive as no spa or pool available which we were not made aware off.

Impressive Victorian building located on the seafront. Plenty parking, £10 for one night payable at reception. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Check in was quick, 3 receptionist on duty. The hotel and room was decorated in traditional style. The room was comfortable and clean, toiletries, tea and coffee provided. We had sandwiches in the bar at night which arrived quickly and were very good, £7.25 each. Breakfast was average but acceptable, tea and coffee served at the table which had a seaview. Overall the stay was much better than expected given some recent reviews and was good value for money
