Virginia Tech Visit

Went for a visit to Virginia Tech with my son and husband. The location cannot be beat. Hotel was quiet, comfortable, beautiful architecture and landscaping, restaurant. It had everything we needed.

All great except the a/c in our room would not go below 75° (we set it at 70°) which is too warm for sleeping. No one slept because we were too sweaty. Not sure if it was just our room malfunctioning? Staff were friendly & place was immaculately clean.

Poorly insulated room; so much so that noise was a problem. Biggest issue, however, was vastly inferior breakfast foods at Preston’s. Service was rather poor, too. We went outside the property for breakfast after first day

Great location

Room was clean and attractive. Lobby/bar area/restaurant was very appealing. Location was great. It's about a mile walk from the Inn across campus to downtown Blacksburg.
