The staff was so attentive and lovely, the room spotless and the location near the castle, wonderful. My only complaint was the coffee. Ireland has gotten so much better about offering great coffee in the last few years, but the hotel restaurant still had a reheated pot of coffee. Have to complain, but a minor tweak would make a huge difference. Thank you!

This hotel was just overall excellent. Though ranked a 3 star hotel, it reall is much more. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was so spacious and warm. The bathroom has everything you needed, but it was a bit dated, I'll admit. Breakfast was brilliant. Big choice of cooked breakfasts and served to your table. Big choice of fresh fruits, cereals and breads. So tasty. But the gems of this hotel are the staff. Friendly, courteous and professional. Nothing was too much for them to assist you. We will be back

Checked in very late and the night porter was very good. The room and bed were clean and spacious. TV, free water, tea and kettle were all good. There was some sort of vent outside my window (room 208) that was noisy and made sleeping difficult. The pillows were very uncomfortable also I found. Late checkout at 12 was a good plus as was late Sunday breakfast. The food quality was ok. Coffee was terrible I thought. Overall for the cost of room I wouldn’t see myself staying here again unless absolutely necessary.

Such a beautiful facility. The room was clean and well appointed if just a touch smaller than my liking. At check in they pushed dinner at their restaurant and I expected an expensive meal - but - the prices were reasonable and the food was good quality. Overall a pleasant stay. I recommend it.

The atmosphere with all the Christmas decorations and the lit trees outside the hotel. My daughter and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms, the warm comfy beds (like sleeping in a cloud), daily water and biscuits in the room, the shopping, and the incredible breakfasts. Lastly, we loved the quiet location and the surrounding town. Thank you to all the welcoming staff for making our stay so memorable.

The room was the best part of the experience. It was lovely, Thank you, when I eventually found it! When I first arrived, the entrance was poorly lit and the dirty sign was difficult to see, hidden behind the food truck, not the best place for the truck, perhaps? The late night receptionist was not so friendly. I had to go outside to access the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Never in all my years of staying in hotels in many countries had I ever before seen porridge not listed as a cereal. Here, it was one of the 'hot order' options meaning that people could have a cold cereal and eggs/other hot plates but not hot cereal and eggs!! I have discussed this with others and nobody has ever heard of this nonsense! In addition, I had asked for hypoallergenic bedding when booking, I was not told until checking in - when too late for any other option - that this was not possible. Staff need training! Clip back hedge at front door. Improve signage and move the food truck. Put up weather protection at the front.
