Great location for our family getaway in the NC mountains. Host was very responsive and met all our needs. Especially appreciated the excellent handy man who came to fix an electrical issue. Will definitely return!
While we didn't cook, the refrigerator was a great size, the beds comfy, rooms clean, view amazing and super quiet. Plus the air conditioner worked great and that is HUGE for me. We did buy black out temp shades for two of the rooms.I do wish they would fill the gully/rut in the driveway, it was not good for the cars! We had to clear some of the brush on the side to not damage our cars.
Great location with to die for views! The house had a great layout for large groups, plenty of room to spread out. A few minor cleaning/maintenance issues with the house. Another thing to note is that there are no curtains or blinds on the windows which can make being on the decks tricky if the bedrooms are occupied.
Spacious house with picturesque views of the mountains! Listing is as advertised; however, note that the house is at the end of a steep gravel driveway and the bedrooms do not have window treatments. Town is a 15-minute drive on a winding road. We enjoyed our stay and even recommended the home to a friend for future stays in Blowing Rock!
Loved the privacy of the location that offered very close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking trails but was only minutes away from the town of Blowing Rock!
We loved the layout of the house. The lack of shades on the main bedroom window meant no guests could access the main porch while someone was in the bedroom. I inquired w/VRBO before booking and was assured that blinds had been added, but that was not true. The kitchen was not adequately supplied, needs functional pots/pans, can opener.
You will not find a nicer house ! It was huge, near lots of places to visit as a tourist, and it had all amenities you could think of. We hope to stay again!
The home was beautiful and well laid out for our group of 10 (two families if 5). We skied two days at Sugar and the location was a little bit if a drive, but not bad. We had a couple of issues that are probably not normal for the home, but the property manager worked with us well.
We stayed here for 5 nights right before Thanksgiving and all of us had a great time. House is very clean, good space, and very nice view. Having a balcony on two floors was a plus, and there was a good grill that came in handy. We also enjoyed the pool table upstairs. This place is about a 7 minute drive to downtown blowing rock, which is a very cool place. Also, many hiking trails in the vicinity, we tried and couple of them and had a great time. The only suggestion we have is to add blinds in the bedrooms, although the view is very beautiful to wake up to, some people would find it hard to sleep past sunrise with no blinds. All in all though it was great, would definitely recommend.
Absolutely lovely house with everything we needed. Very clean. Great mountain view with huge porch. Loved the vaulted ceiling and all the big windows. Fell in love with it immediately. Will definitely stay there again.
This home was beautiful and perfectly sized for our family of 6. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed for cooking, relaxing and sleeping. The views from the deck were gorgeous and the location was very quiet and peaceful. We loved how close we were to the cute, little town of Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain and spectacular hiking trails. We would definitely stay here again.
The property was in excellent condition, very clean, beds and bedding were very comfortable, water pressure was good, showers were excellent. There was no clutter in the house so it worked well for the kids. Great location near two charming towns with several good dining options and near some great attractions for the kids. Highly recommended.
