I wish I could say that we absolutely loved this property, but I just canât. When we arrived (an hour after check-in time), the âproperty managerâ and âmaintenance guyâ were still there doing things around the cabin (fixing a window, laundry, fixing the arcade game, etc). They stayed until about an hour after we arrived. I didnât get a good âvibeâ from them from the beginning. The âproperty managerâ stressed many times that I should contact her with any issues. My gut told me to contact the person on VRBO, which Iâm glad I did. I explained to him our situation with them still being there when we arrived. The kitchen counters were not cleaned, the bathroom window was broken, many windows did not have curtains on them, the hot tub smelled like mold, and there was urine on one of the toilets. We also found a wallet and food receipt under the upstairs bathroom sink, which belonged to the maintenance guy. Upon speaking to the real property manager, he offered to have the cleaning person (lady who said she was the âproperty managerâ) come and reclean the cabin. I declined this because we were already settled and unpacked. He did, however, refund our cleaning fee, which I appreciated. The cabin itself was beautiful and has lots of potential to be an excellent place to stay. But, for us, it just wasnât the experience we had hoped for.
