Perfect remote get-away. The "negative" reviews here make me laugh about cobwebs and musty smells; uh .... it's a CABIN in the woods, not a Hilton penthouse. So, if you're looking for rustic, and quiet, this is the place to go.
The cabin was in disrepair and filthy. There was pollen everywhere on the screened in porch, along with dead bugs and leaves. The front railing was broken. There was a nail protruding from the floor. There was no a/c and no instructions on how to fix it. The a/c unit was disgustingly dirty. It doesnât look like filter had ever been cleaned. Trash was strewn about the yard. Although we contacted Vacasa numerous times to get some help fixings these issues, it was to no avail. We couldnât stay in this health hazard cabin. We left after 4 hours and no help.We contacted the corporate company headquarters in hopes of getting our money back. Just a truly horrible experience.
The cabin was the perfect size with everything we needed to just hang out and relax. We cook, and the kitchen is just right. The decks were everything and we enjoyed being in the mountains. The hot tub does need to be cleaned and the filter changed. There is a little mold starting to develop and the water left a bad smell on our skin. Overall, it was lovely!
This was a very fun built cabin. The surface was very clean and nice, but it really needed a good deep clean. That is the only negative that I have about the thing. Cobwebs up high and lots of dust on the cloth couch. Overall, pleasantly pleased with it.
The cabin, the equipment and amenities were great...our one issue was a next door neighbor dog (up hill, propane tank side neighbor) that was off lash and roaming...the dog laterally chased us out of the driveway and back into the cabin as we were preparing for a neighborhood walk. We ended up not taking a walk as I could see the aggressive dog for several minutes afer pacing the woodline looking down on us. We did each out in an email, got a response about an hour later and was told we would know any response/results with a follow-up email. We sadly never heard back. We skipped walking the stone road for the trip.
Check in and out were a breeze. Thanks.
