My daughter and I came up here with our two Weimaraners. The cottage is in perfect shape and very comfortable. The owners have great taste as you can see from the pics and they have thought of everything. For example, they have a Keurig, a French press, and a drip coffee machine, all with the coffee provided. Other notables are quality linens and towels. The cottage has been updated and has great hardwoods and appliances. One unusual appliance is a classic turntable/record player, which we didnât try to use but was cool to see and had we more time, Iâm sure we would have enjoyed.
We enjoyed the front porch and sat out on the swing while it rained a bit, the aftermath of Helene.
The cottage and owners are very dog friendly. For example, there are gates so you can sit on the front swing with your dog out there with you with not fear of it running away. The backyard is also fenced with chaise lounges (two) and a picnic table.
There is also an EV charger. So very easy to charge your Rivian or Tesla or whatever when you drive up.
We had super nice exchanges with the owner.
One note, use Apple Maps for the directions. Google seems to think you need to drive all the way up the mountain, but thatâs not the case. If you drive by the row of 40 mailboxes youâve gone too far!
