nice quiet little hotel with great owners for was great rooms were nice and clean and comfy. very nice showers. and continental breakfast supplied all for $100 bucks definitely go back.
Owner was very accommodating when we realised our booking had been accidentally made for the following day.. Typical old country town pub, old, creaky and a bit past needing a bit of a face lift. Have to go to bathroom down the hallway, but excellent shower!
Breakfast is a complete non event, but for the price per night itâs a reasonable place to spend a night.
Room was recently refurbished so was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms too were modern and very easily accessible.
Sadly couldn't open balcony doors due to building works.
All in all a good stay and would stay again. Thanks for looking after us.
Classic pub hotel, done up really nicely, affordable and very comfortable. Great place to stay if you're working short term in the area. The new owners are lovely, I'd definitely stay here again.
The Blyth Hotel is a traditional country pub with accommodation. Darren and Leigh, were welcoming and friendly. The room was renovated and very clean with a view over the veranda and Main Street.
Breakfast was cereal, toast and coffee, which was ample before we head off to some wineries.
Interestingly everywhere we went the locals were happy to know the hotel was under new management.
We would definitely stay again
The hotel is basic but for the price is a great option especially when Clare is full, too expensive or you want to stay somewhere quaint. The service is friendly and thorough.
The rooms are newly updated and although smallish they are adequate with comfortable bed, new linen, air con or fan.
The shared bathroom facilities are also newly updated and pleasant to use.
The breakfast is also an added bonus with cereal and toast and put out the night before so you can enjoy at whatever time.
The only minor comments are - the squeaky floor as itâs an old place so you can hear when others are up, the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper as was a full house when I was there and the pub closes early but this can be a positive item too.
I would stay again when in the area.
Handy spot to stay overnight after the Clare races
The room was big and nicely decorated, the only things missing was a minibar and your own bathroom. But thatâs being picky
The shared bathrooms were a good size and convenient to our room.
The snitzel dinner we had in the dining room was fantastic
The owner Jared was welcoming and regaled is with many stories of the hotel upgrade as well as the local sporting teams and surrounding area history.
Overall we enjoyed our stay
No TV in room
No access to Wifi
No attempt to celebrate Easter with the added touch of a hot cross buns at breakfast or tiny egg with coffee
Ladies toilet out of toilet paper from 4am and still not replaced by the time we left at 9am
No blow wave hair dryer in communal shower room and no sign of staff prior to leaving to ask about it.
A little concerned that emergency exit if there was a fire was through a combination lock door into private access room.
such a great stuff, very friendly and hospitable, comfortable bed, clean toilet, but the air smelled of paint and air condition and old ceiling fan both are make noise.
The Blythe offers old-style, friendly hospitality with 'unserviced' style accommodation. The room was not overly spacious but quite comfy. The old floorboards creak in the hallways but otherwise it is very quiet. The communal bathroom is small but neat and clean - bring a bathrobe for easier access. A serve-yourself continental breakfast in the dining room is included, making it convenient and great value for a short stopover.
Welcoming staff, and great first impressions. Nicely appointed room and facilities. Comfortable four poster bed provided us with a good nights sleep. Although the breakfast needs improving. For an extra $10 there could be a bigger selection of breads, juices, percolated coffee and quality cereals.
The Blyth hotel is definitely worth a stay, close to Clare and winery region. The young owners are doing a great job of breathing new life into this old Dame! Extensive renovations & redecorating has taken place with more on the agenda.
The rooms lack some of the amenities one usually expects, i.e. on suite, in room T.V. tea & coffee facilities, however there was a T.V. viewing room which had tea & coffee making facilities.T.V. only received ABC though!
The pub also had in house dining with a limited menu ,food very good.Fresh home made salads accompanied meals.
We had a balcony room, but sadly the balcony is yet to be renovated, but this appears to be the next project. We would certainly recommend this country hotel accommodation and we wish the young owners success.
The young Owners have done an amazing job renovating this aging hotel. The facilities were clean and the bar area invited chats with the locals. Loved it!!
