It’s a good place if you are on a budget, it is clean and the staff is friendly. However, the breakfast food variety is just ok, the building is historic, it needs some facelift and some upgrades.

I will start by saying this hotel is in a great location and it is a very traditional Italian hotel. However, the rooms and bathrooms are not to a great standard and the corridors were quite loud, and the walls thin. We were only there for 2 nights for the Radiohead show so didn’t spend a huge amount of time at the hotel and I assume prices elevated due to the event. If you can get it cheap and just want a place to sleep and shower it’s fine but not somewhere if you enjoy relaxing in your room. There is so much to see and visit nearby we were happy staying out to sightsee, eat and drink.

The room was clean and large, with a nice balcony. The location of the hotel was perfect, right off the main square on a quiet side street. The staff was perfect. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, a good breakfast. For these reasons I gave it four stars. The problem with this hotel was the room itself. It seemed not to have been renovated since the 1950s! Creaking floorboards throughout, an ancient bathtub and old plumbing, a flat bed. If you can ignore this, you will enjoy your stay.

Pictures do not reflect the condition of the rooms. For the price to stay the value is very poor. No working air conditioning and the blinds for the window were broken. Also a hole in the wall. The shower had rust.

If you want a budget hotel in the center of the city this is good. The building is in great need of repairs, everything is old and needs attention. The worst thing about the hotel is that it is connected to a movie theater that blast sounds every day to midnight. If you go to bed easy this is a big problem.

Old but elegant hotel. Must have been high class in its prime. Very good breakfast selection, close to main plaza, church, shopping and restaurants. Very good restaurant next door. Only complaint is the bed was very hard. Needs a foam pad.
