Property a bit tired but clean and comfortable - except for water leak from room above, which made carpet by door a bit wet. Double size beds were not unexpected (were specified in booking) but would be small for two people. Better than average breakfast.

Great Hotel w T Stop Nearby

I always use this hotel when visiting outside of Boston. However, it was a pleasant surprise to find the Riverside Stop of the Green Line less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Huge safe parking lot at Riverside Stop is $6/week day and $3 on weekends. T runs every 7 minutes straight to Back Bay and even under TD Gardens.

I stayed here while touring college’s, it was close enough to everything in Boston, parking wasn’t an issue & breakfast selection was good. Staff were very pleasant. However, on my first day there, I did have a cockroach in the bathroom & that just made me paranoid for the rest of the stay. There’s water damage on the ceiling as you enter the dining area, didn’t notice this at first, but after I did, it was something that continued to stand out. Beds were not comfortable, very worn.

The first room we checked into had an outlet hanging out of the wall and the phone didn't work. In the second room, you had to becareful when sitting on the toilet, shifted to the side. The restaurant is not part of the property, and they don't like people from out of town. Best thing about the property was the gym.

Nice Stay But Not Perfect

Check-in was super-quick. Check-out was even quicker. Some other guests were very noisy (slamming doors at all hours, TV/music blaring). Not sure what the hotel could have done to prevent that in the first place, but it seemed to stop after a short while, so maybe other guests complained. There was a bright red stain on the carpet in my room. (Fruit punch or some other brightly colored spilled beverage? I hope it wasn't something worse!) It was there when I checked in, but the whole time I kept thinking, I hope they don't try to blame me for this.) The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The pillows were just right. There was a very convenient Shell Quick Mart right next door to the hotel that was great for the inevitable snack/beverage run. The complimentary breakfast buffet was great. I ate like a king, and I honestly would consider staying at a Best Western again on this basis alone.

The stay was nice. The stay for us was a lay over for a couple of events. The continental breakfast was is great. The pool is very nice. Nice having a restaurant onsite, very convenient. Observations: If you like a quieter room. Pick the side opposite the highway side. It can be a bit noisy at night. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The room itself was in need of some repairs. Wear and tear kind of stuff. The Balcony slider door didn’t lock so the wind would blow it open and let the cold air in. The shower wall had water damage it appears it was from a leak from the floor above, the wall outlets were so worn out so it wouldn’t hold a power plug in the outlet. Cigarette burns on the carpet. So that carpet must be pretty old. But they kept the carpet very clean. Would we stay again, yes.

This property was very convenient to getting on or off of thoroughfares that allowed us to get to where we wanted to go. The restaurant on site was excellent, and Ruth's Chris was right across the street! The room was clean. The motel was very clean and the all of the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful.
