First, this hotel is isolated. You will have to drive out several miles for food or will have to door dash. Unless, you eat at their restaurant. But the most annoying thing about this hotel is that several days a week they have prescheduled time slots for teaching kids to swim or they bring in a school bus of over +30 children. There is no room in the small pool and it gets incredibly loud. It’s also encased in glass so temperatures reach near a 100 degrees inside. We specifically chose this hotel for the pool and to have to work around their schedule to be able to use it is not cool. I wouldn’t come back. Oh and another thing to mention, housekeeping loves to enter the room at 8:30am. If you stay here make sure to have a do not disturb on your door.

I was looking forward to this hotel, which features a beautiful indoor pool with large windows that would have provided shade from the summer sun, but would give the impression that you are outside. To top it off, it advertised an arcade/game room and is located 1 minute away from a water park. Unfortunately, upon arrival, a sign was posted at the front desk stating that the pool would be closed for the duration of my stay for renovation. To make matters worse, the arcade is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and so is the water park (the closure of the arcade on Mondays and Tuesdays is not listed on the amenities page). While the closure of the waterpark on Mondays and Tuesdays is not the hotel’s fault, it compounded the disappointment of not having a pool to use. After facing the disappointment of not having access to a pool that I was looking forward to, I had to repeatedly wade through stale cigarette stench that permeated the front entrance. For a non-smoker, the front entrance stinks. The hotel needs a better designated smoking area. We are all aware of the dangers of secondhand smoke. As for the room, while it was somewhat clean, one of the beds squeaks if you sit on it or turn in it, and the other bed appears to be so old that it sags in the middle.

I stay at this property every August; one of the reasons I chose it was access to a pool. When I arrived, there was a sign saying the pool was being “renovated”. Had I known, I would have chosen a different hotel. BTW: Their website still lists a pool as one of their amenities. Very dishonest.

Pool was closed. Amenities are included in price. No discount. Asked front counter. Front desk staff member was curt when I brought this up. Room was clean and the mini Starbucks was a plus. The hotel was dated and could use some updates. It would also be helpful to move the smoking area away from the front entrance.
