Review of Motel 6 â Danvers, MA
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences Iâve ever had. We booked this Motel 6 thinking it would be a simple, no-frills place to sleep after a late arrival and early departure. I figured, how bad could it be for one night? Unfortunately, it was much worse than expected.
When we pulled up, there were three police cars parked out front, which immediately made me uneasy. I walked into a lobby filled with the strong smell of weed, and while checking in, someone pulled the fire alarmâtotal chaos. We didnât even get a chance to go to our room before heading back out for the evening.
When we returned later that night, the room was somewhat clean, but thatâs where the positives ended. There was peeling paint, graffiti in the bathroom, and the hallways smelled heavily of weed. I felt incredibly unsafe, especially being there with my daughter.
The most concerning part? The next morning, we noticed water coming up through the seams of the floorânot just damp, but actual water pooling. Iâm highly allergic to mold, and both my daughter and I woke up feeling sick. Itâs been over a week, and weâre still dealing with lingering symptoms.
The only good part of the stay was the front desk employee, who was genuinely kind and helpful. But unfortunately, that wasnât enough to make up for how sketchy, unhealthy, and unsettling the rest of the experience was.
