We liked the location. The terrace is very comfortable after a day discovering the city. The sofa bed should be replaced for more comfort.
Communication is very easy. We appreciated our stay.
Very cute space. We love the history and the well developed neighborhood. Taking the subway was nice although there was a steep climb back to the house after a long day of walking. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen included the essentials. The restroom was small but sufficient
Place was excellent and well stocked, exactly as shown in pics, very comfortable. Good instructions to get in. Only down side was TV not working and got a $40 parking ticket (only street parking available)
We had a great time in Boston! The apartment was cozy and in a convenient location. Parking was no problem at all on the street right in front of the house. We parked on check-in day and left the car there all week and just used Uber anytime we went out, driving in Boston is less then fun and traffic is about 10 minutes per mile where ever you go, lol. Ubers averaged about 15-30 to and from all the local areas for sightseeing and was worth it to not deal with driving in traffic. Our favorite restaurant was a Coastal Mexican place called Citrus & Salt which was one of the most Beautiful restaurant atmospheres I've ever seen. Don't miss the Freedom Trail, Tea Party Museum, Fenway Park etc...The Apartment: if you chose this place you already know it was about the cheapest place this close to downtown so you get what you pay for so don't complain. We chose to forgo a nicer, more expensive place in exchange to be able to stay longer and it was well worth it. It's a place to sleep...basics, not fancy or luxurious, however it met our needs and Jessica, the host, is a sweetheart. This is the perfect place to stay on a budget and not be snobby. The house is on a steep hill from all directions so walking is not for the faint of heart or if you're into fitness it's a perfect spot to get extra steps in!. We loved it and would go back anytime!
I loved it! It was slightly confusing at first to get into but once youâre in itâs genuinely a perfect little place. The owner was super nice, she greeted herself on the first day there and was super accommodating. We had no issues with our stay. The backyard is honestly a really pretty outlook into the area, we even got the chance to see a cute little bunny. Overall, the area and the place was super comfortable and nice. Thank you for the stay!
Lovely space, perfect for two people. Clean and charming. Within easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and the T. Safe and quiet area. Host was incredibly helpful and very responsive.
We stayed here while attending the World Figure Skating Championships in Boston. We enjoyed the walk to the red line and back each dayâvery easy access into town.
Cozy, convenient, very nice owner, easy to get around. Not a luxury place but has all essentials and nice value to have access to Boston, would stay again.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is great as only a short walk to Savin Hill station which is on the red line with frequent trains into the centre of Boston. Approx 20 mins to Park Street which is stop for Boston Common, where the Freedom Trails begins.
If you want to stay in a quieter location then this is definitely the place to stay. The accommodation is in need of updating but as we were out sightseeing most of the time, this did not bother us.
We really liked the Savin Hill area as there was everything you needed - a bar, a few restaurants/cafes, grocery/essential stores and a beach.
Well worth visiting is the JFK Library, especially if you can get on one of the free tours. You only need to get off at the first stop - JFK/UMass where you can pick up a free shuttle service to the library.
Small but adequate for 2 nights visiting Boston.
Listing indicates it is walking distance to a beach (its a mile) and train station (its a half mile). So "walking distance" is subjective. There were 2 cans of vegetables in the pantry with expiration dates in 2017. The shower is weird..2 shower heads and it took my mechanical engineer husband a good 10 minutes to figure out how to work it. Back deck was nice in the morning.
No off street parking, which i did not care for, but we knew that going in and were lucky to snag the spot in front of the house. The house is on a steep hill but if you are willing and able, its within a half mile of a corner grocery and a couple restaurants. Kitchen is sufficiently stocked for cooking simple meals (perfect for us to make breakfast both mornings!) It was clean and comfortable.
Hosts were helpful and delightful.
This cosy, quirky apartment is comfortable and offers all the essentials for the self-catering traveller on a budget. It has a galley kitchen, hot shower, sitting area, comfortable bed, and a lovely outdoor deck. There are a few details and updates that would make this accommodation really good: For example, the haphazard kitchen and dining utensils could be improved, such as providing pans that are suitable sizes (with lids), and sharp kitchen knives (apart from one large one) . The free-standing aircon is in the sleeping area and is too loud to have on at night. Access to the laundry is by request, so you have to make arrangements with the host. Be prepared for a steep hill at the end of the walk from the subway. Nonetheless it was a good base for a really interesting and enjoyable time in Boston.
