Very nice little room with everything we needed for one night's stay. The Manager was really helpful, including giving us a lift to the wedding evening do which was really appreciated. We were also offered a free breakfast which was a great touch. Its a lovely country pub with rooms. Woukd definitely return.
Lovely staff the new manager is very enthusiastic and I am sure he and the new owner will make lots of changes going forward. Itâs a lovely old building just a bit tired but clean and lots of parking and in a good spot to access lots of places. Very good value for money and good meals available in the evenings
The hotel, grounds etc were really lovely. The room was very basic, the bed was not very comfortable at all it could do with replacing you could feel the springs through the matress. The bathroom shower doors did not close properly .
Stayed here for 3 nights do a conference locally and it was perfect. Friday enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond. Very approachable if I had any questions. Looking forward to coming back next year!
This was a lovely pub with friendly staff and great food and i would recommend eating here.
I would stay somewhere else though, the room was basic, the heating did eventually come on, when i checked in i was told that they don't offer breakfast in the week which isn't very helpful when you have already booked.
The food was amazing, we would recommend the restaurant to anyone. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, we did not appreciate having to use an outside, open, staircase to access the room. I am terrified of heights and was terrified. Not pleased to have to go outside if it rained. The shower was only just useable, low pressure: the basin was so small the if you leant forward to clean your teeth you bashed your head off the glass shelf. There was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. There was no way to control the room temperature and it got far too hot. The beds though were wonderful. Not having breakfast on the Monday was a surprise and a let down. Still worth a visit though as any upgrading is still a work in progress. We wish them luck.
A lovely welcome and everyone during our stay were lovely. We stayed in the outside annexe so canât comment on more internal rooms. These rooms were clean and well equipped just are ready for a refurb which judging from the rest of the property will be done I am sure. Still very worth a visit the restaurant was amazing
Public areas were great and full of character. Staff were friendly and the bar stocked a good selection of beers. The accommodation however is tired and in need of refurbishment.
It was a convenient location for where we were going. The room was adequate but could have done with a makeover. Breakfast was not until 9.30 so too late for us. The rickety wooden staircase upstairs was hard to negotiate for us over a certain sge - when leaving, we found there was an outside metal staircase.
Car parking is both ample and free of charge.
Pleasant and large outdoor seating area Bar/restaurant is very charming and cosy with nice olde worlde features. Staff were all lovely and service good. Wholesome well cooked and nicely presented food at reasonable prices.
We stayed for one night in Room 12. Generally it was okay, but the shower room was in desperate need of some cosmetic tlc. The shower gave a decent flow of hot water, but the sliding cubicle doors didn't meet/join where they're supposed to!
The worst aspect however was the very loud creaking floor board noises caused by the guests in room above moving around. Sadly this ruined what otherwise would have been a peaceful night's sleep.
