Good Afternoon, Do you have any feedback regarding the Hallmark Carlton Hotel? Kind Regards Reservations

location of the hotel is superb - in front of the beach. Walking distance to local shops and high street. Rooms cost around 10% less than holiday inn, premier inn in summer but size of the rooms and quality is also maintained as per the cost. Breakfast is really good - welcoming staff and plenty of options. Cons - parking charge of £10.00 per night is high and not very welcoming, no air-conditioning in the hotel rooms or not even a facility of fan - very hot to stay in he room on hot days of summer.

No air condition old hotel with 90% block sink

They send us to the old hallmark hotel with no air con. Is quite hot in the summer even at night ! And the sink is 90% block.

Hotel not as expected

On arriving we were told we had to pay £10.00 a day to park.breakfast was £8.00 each per day.we thought for the price we paid it would be all inclusive.Room was very very hot.no aircom.you could hear every noise from the room next to us.Food and drink very expensive so we opted most days to walk up and down the hills to get into town to eat. What drew me to the hotel was the swimming pool which was cordoned off and not able to use it.We found the staff pleasant and the room clean but would not go there again.

Well situated.Object to car parking fee.

Pros: The situation, restaurant!
Cons: Tell the hotel staff not to fob off punters.
Location: all satisfactory
I booked through you for a double sea view, which to me is a room where you can see the sea view through two windows. Under the previous owners Menzies we were always given room 3303, or 2203 which are rooms with 2 sea views on the East side of the hotel I drew the attention to the Hotel that my wife and myself were not happy with the room but there was nothing that they were prepared to do. I feel they offered our room to some one else where they could make more money? They showed us an alternative which they called an up grade, but that was a joke, because the main vista was the end wall of the Carlton Hotel. The sea view was in the corner of the room, it was a " Basil Fawlty moment". Apart from the room all was fine, next time I go ,I will give the room number and hope to secure the correct room with two widows looking across the sea. We enjoyed the Regent Restaurant, again staff changes affect the ambience of the venue. On Saturday it was managed by Pete the Bulgarian very professional and extremely good organising ,the junior staff. He had character and enthusiasm .The Friday night before the lady manager did her job and that is it!

A really well run Hotel……..

Pros: Lots of aspects, especially the position
Cons: Carpets and furniture a little dated and worn.
Location: Fabulous Italian restaurant La Piccola just a short walk away and Russell-Cotes Gallery and Museum really worth a visit
Fabulous position overlooking the sea. Had a balcony room and so pleased we paid the extra, even on a March day we were able to enjoy the view from the small chairs & table provided outside. Spacious room ~ lots of extra's…..tissues, water, tea/coffee tray, dressing gowns, bathroom toiletries. Everything serviced beautifully every day ~ hotel spotless. Breakfast very well presented with lots of choices and service top-class. Carpets and some of the furniture a bit dated, but super-king size bed very comfortable. All-in-all would recommend this hotel and congratulate the staff and Manager on a very well run run hotel……..

Well located hotel that welcomes dogs

Good location and friendly staff. Didn't eat dinner there but the breakfast was good with attentive waiting staff. Rooms were a bit tired but could be because we had our dog with us? Any way would stay again if in bournemouth and the price is right again

3 nights stay

Location: what a beautiful beach and spotless
If like me and you need to use the bathroom during the night , there is very little space between the bed and the dressing table , you have to go side ways . In the bathroom the shower is a bit old fashion ended up having a bath, Room for 2 and only 1 chair and a stool that was under the dressing table that you could not get out apart from a few minor problems , The staff were the most polite staff that I have ever met a credit to the company
