Good location and cute cottage. Could use a few more basic items like tea rather than just coffee, ice trays or ice cubes, bread knife, decent pot holders.
This is a perfect little cottage for a couple or solo traveller. The location in the beautiful Skagit Flats will instantly relax you. A bird lover's paradise. Bow, Edison and a pub at the end of the road offer a variety of food and interesting things to see.The bed was VERY comfortable and the furnishings were lovely. We were happy we could bring our dog. Will stay here again.
Lovely place to come back to after we played in the area of Bow, Edison and local Skagit area. All the necessary items available for us at the cottage since we like to make breakfast and relax. Bed super comfy!
What a magical cottage filled with light, warmth, beautiful details. Sleeping on a dreamy mattress with luxurious bedding brought deep rest. Stepping outside to experience the trumpeter swans elevated my stay into a sublime experience. Leaving was wrenching. My only complaint concerned losing the internet connection & not getting a response from the note I left requesting help reconnecting. I couldn't do the work I intended to do as a result. It would have helped to have a phone number to reach the owners. Otherwise, the place is a work of art inspired by nature. Wild gratitude to the owners for creating such a wonderful shelter for wayfaring strangers.
We arrived and found it better than advertised. A beautiful cottage behind the main house, nothing but farmland all around, and incredibly quiet. Very comfortable, we cooked all our own meals, nice hot shower, the bed/quilt comfortable and almost too warm (turn off the bedroom heater at night!). We talked about returning for a stay here next year we liked it so much.
The cottage was so tastefully and intentionally created. Simplicity from another time and yet all modern needs are met. If you're looking for a peaceful cottage and beautiful farmland surrounds, this is it.
Staying at this property was a dream. I came for some solo time away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The clutter-less space, the birds, the wind, the croaking frog--a tranquil experience.
Sweet place, the gardens are lovely albeit a bit overgrown. Eagles, snowgeese and other raptors were plentiful. A quick drive into town. Comfy bed, hosts were responsive. We loved how quiet it was & would definitely stay there again.
We could have lived on the porch; the sunrise was amazing. :) The decor of the farmhouse was so cute, and it had everything we needed. I loved the added touch of the real flowers and fruit arrangements. The bed was very comfortable, on the firm side. Parking and entry were super easy. Thanks for having us!
An absolutely adorable cottage in the gorgeous Skagit Valley! Comfy, blissfully quiet - the kind of place that's conveniently close to towns, parks, and great food, but still feels like you're on some tranquil exoplanet. Jen and Mallory were super communicative and helpful our whole stay. Completely wonderful in every way!
What a beautiful space! It was perfect for what I needed and the details were really unique. I slept great even with another house in such close proximity. The hosts were so prompt with their responses and I even left my kindle and they told me right away. Thank you so much and hope to be back soon.
We checked in and initially enjoyed finding the simple things that the cottage offered but then right away the coffee maker was not working it was a Keurig, sometimes it would Brew sometimes it wouldn't and then it said it needed to be descaled so I messaged the owner let them know and ask if they had another coffee pot on hand and they did not. I also messaged ahead of time to see if we could bring our small charcoal grill to barbecue some steaks but then we found out there was no steak knives at all not even butter knives! The ncheck out we went to run the dishwasher and it will not turn on at all, no lights nothing. We checked out 3 1/2 hrs early and messaged the owner about the dishwasher, and would have been nice to know where the garbage is located-looks like the bins are way off over by the barn so that's where we put our garbage upon check out a little bit more instruction would have been nice, some steak knives would have been nice, some washcloths would have been nice, and some outdoor chairs besides just one bench leaning up against the house. Yard maintenance needs to pick up the grass that is mowed as it gets tracked into the house causing a mess. Also needed is some weed wacking around the sitting area bench and walkways and you have to walk on the grass you cannot actually walk on the stone pathway because it's so overgrown.
