Vacasa review
I’ll start with the good. Nice location, above bourbon and ponderosa social which were very fun and convenient and it’s a newer build.
That said, we opened the door and initially thought we were in the wrong place, it felt like your grandpas apartment, the front of the fridge was full of personal letters and photos, the space was overfull of old furniture and plants. I love plants but this was to the point of having to turn sideways in some parts of the living room to fit between overgrown trees. Plants, faux plants and pumpkins were in every surface, making some areas unusable.
The thermostat wasn’t functional, when we got in, it was very chilly but after being there for a day it was so hot it was difficult to sleep, close to 80 degrees, but no messing with the thermostat did anything- not even trying to operate the fan worked. There was only one openable window in the unit but it was covered by a non functional blind, so getting cooler air in was a challenge.
This unit backs up to another building that keeps their lights and lit sign on 24 hours a day, so good blinds are really important. The blinds wouldn’t go up to let air in during the day and at night there was a good 2” gap on either side letting a lot of light in. I will say I’m a pretty light sensitive sleeper.
The shower at max temp was lukewarm, so coming home after skiing it was not a good option to warm up in.
I hate to say it but this was just not a relaxing place to stay, I never slept well
