Host interaction was great. Prior to our visit, while we were there, and after our stay they reached out to us. Honest review: Cabin was super dusty, months of dust on things on top of the kitchen cabinets that was clearly visible from floor level and even more so when coming down the stairs. The blinds in all rooms were in need of cleaning as well. There were some small maintenance issues. The downstairs shower doors were out of their tracks when we arrived, and not usable, but my family did not want to mess with maintenance coming in during our stay so we just did not use that shower. The vent light above the stove was out, and the kitchen only had one hand towel and dish cloth. No hot pads for getting things out of the oven, so we had to use the towel which was not ideal for getting heavier items out. There was one usable pan for frying. The nonstick one was scratched beyond being able to use. We cook a lot so for anyone who does cook you might bring some kitchen supplies. Knives and some forks had to be washed before we could use them. Food was stuck on them. We went for Christmas and it was not decorated for the season except for one small snow globe. The "Welcome Fall Decor" was pretty, but not exactly what we expected at Christmas. We've rented several places the past few years at Christmas and this was the first one that left us feeling like we wanted to shop for decor. The overall space worked for our family, but it's not somewhere we feel like we will reserve again.
