A little old, but good value for the $ in Breck

The property is a little dated and it could use some renovations. There was a big conference happening at the center, so checkin took forever and parking was nearly impossible (I paid for parking and couldn't get a spot inside their parking garage; had to double park and ask the front desk, they told me to park outside by the conference center, so I got uncovered parking). The hotel itself is nice enough, we had a suite with a kitchenette and living area. The sofa and carpet just looked a little old and in need of refurbishing. The room was clean. We liked having a kitchenette with a fridge. This is fairly good value for the $.

Beautiful Mountain View location. In winter you can slide in to your hotel right from the ski slopes! We went in summer time, making for gorgeous walkable days where we enjoyed many shops and restaurants. If you don't feel like walking, no worries, they offer a complimentary shuttle service as well.

Was hot it room when we got there and there was a beep. Maintenance came the first time and removed the batteries from the floor board heaters. Then had to come back a second time to fix the heater so we could turn it off since it was uncomfortably hot. The entire condo could use an update and didn’t look like the pictures for the room we requested. Have been in really nice rooms before but probably won’t be back.

Beaver Run (Beaver Rundown) was a trip down nostalgia lane cira 1980’s. The staff were overall friendly and helpful. The room inside was clean yet in need of an adequate renovation. The same goes for the entire property. A good Spielberg movie could have been filmed here. The bathroom was acceptable. A housekeeping woman was impolite and seemed to want to rush us to leave, asked us twice in one morning if we were leaving. Great place to stay regarding location and distance into town which is a reasonably short walk.

The address which Orbitz booking took me to was not at the front desk. I entered the building, there were no signs on either the outside or the inside where the front desk was located. I encountered two other couples that were also looking for the front desk. It took about 20 minutes to find the front desk and then there are two floors beginning with the number 2 and it took awhile to find the room. When you arrive late and very tired, it is grueling. I would not book it for the difficulty it was checking in.

Last grasp of summer

We love coming to Breckenridge to ride bikes and hike. Beaver Run is nostalgic for us but it hasn’t been updated since we started coming years ago. It’s fine for us but the walls are not sound proof & kids were screaming a lot next door. Luckily we love kids but we didn’t need to be woken up by them! To be fair our first jolt awake was by the 6:00 am old-fashioned alarm clock in our room that was set by someone previously. Please get rid of those so people use their alarms on their phones and consider adding soundproofing and refillable toiletries in the showers like the other resorts. We will still be back.
