We unfortunately had quite the experience at this property! The house was as listed and had no issues with that- but in order to get to the house you must first conquer the driveway! We took 3 cars down the steep, muddy, washed out hill to unload and could not get 2 cars back up. We ended the weekend with 3 total tows, a host who was unavailable for help, and more stress than we asked for on vacation! AAA even said âwe will not come, this is a dangerous areaâ. I would not recommend this property until the driveway has been majorly repaired in some way bc even with a 4x4 vehicle it is worrisome.
We had an amazing time staying at the Stone Mountain Inn! The cabin is beautiful and set perfectly in the mountains with a gorgeous view off of the front porch. The amenities are perfect for group settings, with the game room downstairs and open layout for relaxing and hanging out with multiple people. The hot tub, pool table, foosball, arcade games, and cornhole were all thoroughly used and appreciated.
We really enjoyed how close all the hikes and waterfalls are! Turtleback falls was around 35-40 minutes. The parking for the driveway was a little steep, but we parked at the top of the hill and walked down just fine.
We will definitely be back! Perfect place to get away in the North Carolina mountains.
