Away for work

This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in room 3, which was very comfortable, tea & coffee making facilities, great choice of lighting in room. Ensuite was good. Wifi you had to provide an email address which you had to verify. TV was okay but did not have the BBC channels on it. Possibly the most comfortable bed I have slept in (whilst away from home) this year. The only downside was the radiator was on in the room and would not turn down/off. Car park was free. The only note getting to premises is it is right at the crossroad junction, so I missed it when I first went over junction.

The room was very clean and spacious, with minimal noise from the bar below. It was well located, with a bus stop right outside, making the city centre easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again.

Downs dog friendly hotel stay

Fantastic dog friendly pub & hotel. The room preparation was superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dog was fantastically cared for. Great field across the road for exercising the dog as well. Very convenient location for access to & from A27.

Great stay , nice room especially the bed and shower. Nice bar area and enjoyed the breakfast. Bus stop opposite to take you into the city of Brighton, cab back from the city centre only £12.50 so hotel in great location.

A gem.

We booked this hotel as a stay for the night after atrending a black tie event. Well, the event was cancelled but i thought that we may as well keep the room anyway. One of my better decisions. From arrival, the atmosphere was friendly, the Harveys bitter well kept and the evening meal was great. Steak & Venison pie for me and Gammon steak fir my fiancé, with a side dish of topped toasted potatoes. The room was clean and spacious, and we found a welcome note from Sarah (the maid) welcoming us. Nice personal touch. Breakfast was also great. Perhaps the only slight nighle was that the duvet was possibly a little small. Butt maybe i'm just a closet duvet hog. All in all, we can thoroughly recommend this gem of an Inn.

Lovely views, great service, room classy and very clean. Good breakfast also. Useful location for visit to Brighton and Hove - bus stop outside takes about 30 mins, costs £2. Would most definitely stay again.
