the room was very basic, small and poorly laid out. Extension cable run to allow services to the ‘desk’ (you couldn’t work at it though!) for kettle to work. Couple this with extremely drunk and loud other customers (know this isn’t your problem per se but allowing 5 people to crash back into the hotel at 1:30 in the morning and then progress to do all manner of things in their room at the top of their voices is poor). I got an awful nights sleep because of this. I think you need better controls around customer usage of rooms. This room (#405) was massively overpriced at £149. Whilst everything was ‘ok’ next time I’ll pay another £60 and stay at the Marriott.

Hotel was central and exactly where we wanted to be. We got there earlier than expected and they let us check in over an hour earlier. Rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was very comfy... had a good night's sleep. Staff were very helpful and polite . Would stay here again.

Building work, no enforced noise limits at night (people racing and sprinting down the halls), smacking walls shouting football chants. No bottles of water, leaking kettle. Sandwich wrappers under the bed. Awful stay, wouldn't recommend at all.

Great position for exploring Bristol. Easy to walk along the harbour and river, or only slightly further for the shopping centre. The aquarium and science centre are within sight and Bristol Hippodrome is a short walk away. Drop off right outside the hotel if you have your car and 2 choices for parking very close by. The underground millennium square is the more expensive choice. If you get your parking ticket validated at the hotel then you get a discount, it was £10 for 24 hours during our stay at the cheaper of the 2. The breakfast was a good help yourself choice including gluten free toast if you ask for it. All in all a great choice for a weekend in Bristol. We were even treated to a great acoustic guitar duo who played on Friday evening (not sure if this is a regular feature or not) in the bar.

It was a great location and good value for money. The light and shaver socket were broken and just the overall maintenance of the room wasn’t very good but the staff were welcoming and helpful and there is a bar onsite which was reasonably priced.
