The owner Tom is a nice guy and lives nearby to make sure you have everything you need. The cottage delivers on everything that is advertised. It’s a good location (especially for attending “Magic week” in Colon) and the kayaks were a nice bonus we enjoyed, as well as a little fishing.

A Perfect Getaway

Get Away

The cottage was just as described, clean and thoughtfully stocked. Plenty of windows and no surprises. The lake is very peaceful and neighbors are friendly and considerate. A great place to kick back and relax if only I could have found some of those darn fish.

Summer Cottage

House was everything we hope it would be for a lake house. No issues. Sunsets were spectacular. Quiet area, friendly neighbors. Lake was great for fishing, tubing, kayaking, all sports. Close public boat ramp with lots of room for turning around and parking. Nice deck and dock at the water. We would definitely book again.

It was so cozy inside I hardly went outside. My adult children loved the lake, and enjoyed kayaking. The sunsets are exactly as you see the one on this vrbo advertisement. The cottage was equipped with everything and then some. Plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy everything this rental has to offer.

Cottage is amply supplied and situated in very quiet neighborhood. Very clean and conducive to an overall relaxing lake environment. Was everything as advertised. Will definitely try to come back. Tom is very accessible for questions or concerns.

Wonderful experience

This was a wonderful cottage. It was spotless, updated, comfortable and beautiful. Tom was very welcoming and super quick to respond any time we reached out. The AC kept the cottage very cool and the wireless worked great. We really appreciated having a garage to park in, the beds were comfortable, the living room was great for spending time together and we had room on the dining room table to do a puzzle. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Vacation from Texas to visit kids & grandbabies:)

We wish we could give more than 5 stars! This was so easy to book & Tom was so easy to always stay in touch with. We checked in on a Wed and stayed thru Sunday. On Monday morning (prior to our stay), I received a text message from Tom welcoming us, giving us details as where to park & how to enter the property. When we arrived it was just perfect! Everything was so clean & tidy, everything you could need from kitchen utensils, silverware, towels, sheets, trash bags etc. Outside there were extra chairs for visitors to sit out and enjoy the scenery with us. Every detail was taken into account such as no light bulbs out, no problem with internet, wifi, TV ect. On our 2nd evening we were out enjoying the view on the beautiful deck when Tom showed up to introduce himself and make sure we got settled in ok! It could not have been a more pleasant experience & we plan to book again thru time for our next vacation up north to see our family! 🧡🍂🍁🚗

Come for the lakeview stay for the stargazing

We found the place as advertised. It was cozy, spotless, and well equipped. The kitchen was perfect, the beds and furniture comfortable and in good repair, the deck clean and solid and tje sunsets made only for you. The night sky though, that was the stunner. Unbelievable clarity. The lake is shallow here and not as inviting as a sandy beach, but it's clean. I swam and enjoyed it. The neighbors are lovely people too. They were kind and chatty but unobtrusive.

Highly recommend!

We recently returned from staying at this clean and adorable cottage. We travel all over Michigan and always utilize VRBO and this cottage is right up at the top for cleanliness. Everything was perfect including the warm and sunny weather and warm water. We loved that the water is shallow and what felt like halfway across the lake. We loved having the kayaks to use as we enjoyed daily trips to explore and it was quiet and calm and beautiful. Shelly, who lives next door, was sweet and easy to talk to and offered to let us use her clothesline and garbage bin. I loved sitting on the back patio to watch the hummingbirds fight over her feeder. It was so relaxing and calm. Tom met us in person when we arrived and was so pleasant and easy to chat with. Oh, and the ducks who came 3 times a day to eat were the icing on the cake for me. They ate right from our hands the last 2 days we were there. I looked forward to that every day, and, in fact, our grandson said they would fit in our suitcase and wanted to take them home with us. I wish I could have! The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the water was a bit mucky and murky and debris constantly washed up to shore but it didn't stop us from swimming daily. If you go out away from the shore, the water was much better. I will definitely put this cottage at the top of my list to return to.

Great place for small family to stay

Great view and nice place to stay. Only thing that would be nice is a dishwasher as doing dishes on vacation isn’t that fun and paper products are not good for environment. We would stay here again for sure though!
