This was a beautiful property located on the canal. The accommodations were excellent with easy check in and check out. We stayed at Hotel Barabas for three nights in the Residence Room and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The service was warm and efficient, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was the breakfast: fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious—definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had! The hotel has a unique atmosphere with lots of character, and the location was ideal for discovering the city. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Bert, the owner, was gracious and warmly invited us in to his extraordinary space on the canal. The rooms were large with beautiful exposed beams and comfortable beds. The breakfast they made for us was delicious and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Bruges.

Our room (Fidele Cottage) was absolutely wonderful! With both the bedroom and the living room looking immediately down onto the Brugge canals, the view was lovely, peaceful, and exactly what we wanted. And the view of the property from the canals was the envy of every boat rider who passed, with many taking pictures of it. Breakfast was delicious and decadent. And the common areas are opulent. We can’t recommend Barabas enough.
