The host is prompt and professional with communication. The property is very clean and the a/c works nicely in the main bedroom that we use. Itâs a great location for a quick stroll to dinner after a day in the car in transit. Will stay again!
We alway enjoy going down for the blessing of the fleet, And I always try to book this house or the one bedroom behind the main house, It is easy access to all the entertainment and only 20 minutes from st Simon island where we always visit to eat and walk the town!!!
This house has so much character and is decorated beautifully. Everything was super clean and all appliances worked perfectly. Located in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to everything. Darien is an interesting town and served as our home base for travels to Savannah and Brunswick.
This was a perfect waypoint on our journey. Located in a quaint quiet neighborhood with towering moss covered oaks with quick access to I-95. This home has old world charm and modern convenience.
We were overnight guests on our way to Florida. The town and home is extremely convenient from the freeway. The neighborhood is very quiet and a great place to walk your 4-legged friends if traveling with them! Also in walking distance were restaurants, a wine bar, and local brewery. After a day of driving, having everything in walking distance was awesome! The house was extremely clean, had everything you need, and had that 1800: charm! We would recommend without hesitation.
The home was everything we expected and more. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Located in a safe, walkable, intown area close to restaurants and shops.
We were happy to find such a wonderful place for our overnight stop on our way to NC. It was an adorable and quiet neighborhood. The home was very clean, the beds were super comfortable and it had everything you could want, including coffee, plush towels and more. Add in that we could walk to a wine shop and seafood dinner after a day in the car ⊠we will definitely stay again!!
Loved this charming home. It is close to a couple great places to eat. The house is nice and has lots of interesting historical info, both about the house and the town. Enjoyed our stay here
This home is exactly like the listing said and showed on the web page. Clean, comfortable, in a great family friendly neighborhood. We walked to dinner which was a treat after being in a car all day.
Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, coded door lock for front seems to be a continuing issue but was fairly quickly resolved. Much older house with modern upgrades and set in the historic area of Darien and quiet neighborhood.
Great old historic home in a great location. Close to downtown, so easy getting around. Our only surprise was an additional VRBO in the garage in the back yard, so we had unexpected company. Great visit overall and we would return.
We had a wonderful time at the blessing of the fleet, House was wonderful walked to town perfect location, We have stayed in the one bedroom cottage before we just love our visits
We needed a place to stay that was centrally located on the Georgia coast. This place is perfectly located so that we could go up and down the coast in little time. We were very pleased with the stocked kitchen as we prepared many of our meals at the house. I am picky about mattresses and the king bed was very comfy. Darien is a nice town and we enjoyed biking around it. Finally, I enjoyed reading about some of the history of the home.
The property is in an excellent location near restaurants and many attractions. Clean house and comfortable beds. We did enjoy the house. We initially had a problem getting the door unlocked. John promptly returned my call and helped. One improvement needed inside is the stove. (We do cook breakfast early because Darien lacks breakfast restaurants.) The burners on the stove do not sit evenlyâthis makes using them a precarious undertaking. The main TV has 3 or 4 remotes. Who, at 77, knows what to do?? Fortunately, we donât watch much TV. The info notebook on the house and Darien needs updating. One final comment: I do not like being forced to buy damage insurance or pay a very high deposit, which Iâm told I may not have returned. There is just my husband and I. At 77 we are very respectful of othersâ property and are early to bed, early to rise. Still, we liked the house and history and enjoyed our stay.
Very nice older house on a quiet street. The house has everything you would need. Very clean. Easy walking distance to several restaurants with the freshest seafood you can get anywhere. St. Simons Island Beach is only 1/2 an hour away and is an easy and beautiful drive. John the property manager responded quickly to any of our questions or concerns. My wife and I loved the house and will definitely stay again.
