Neighborhood was sketchier than expected after my pre-booking research. On our initial arrival to the nearest subway station, watched a woman get pickpocketed as we exited to the street (her husband caught the guy and got her phone back after I pointed the culprit out), then we were accosted across the street by some intimidate us into a position where they could steal from us (didn’t work). But once we arrived at the hotel, the property was lovely, the front desk staff was very nice and quickly got us checked in and off to our room. Just avoid arriving at night and it should be perfectly safe.

The room was the perfect size for a one night stay in Brussels. Loved the arcade room for the kids and the rooftop area, it served as our dining spot when we brought food back to the hotel. There are charging ports for phones on each bed which was awesome for our family of 6. The area around the hotel did not feel safe at night. My husband saw an empty purse on the street adjacent to the hotel. So travel in a group at night or wait until morning when it feels safer.

We spent a long weekend at Yooma Urban Lodge in Brussels and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Gare du Midi / Brussel-Zuid station and not too far from the Grand-Place, Manneken Pis and other tourist attractions. The hotel itself is, of course, cartoon-themed and each room has its own 'character' identity. It is novel and fun! Breakfasts were good. There is a pool table and a sauna (which we did not try out) and a little shop selling cartoon-related items. The service was very good: friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and well-equipped. In conclusion, I would recommend Yooma Urban Lodge for couples and families.

Great room and facilities inside the hotel. Was a bit of a walk to the main areas and the area around the hotel was a little sketchy. Once you walked five minutes much better.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and spacious. The reception staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance to the midi train station and The Grand Place. Being close to the trian station the area immediately surrounding the hotel is rundown and felt unsafe. We did not go out after dark.

Hotel advertised as a “luxury” hotel and was a super 8/basic holiday inn hotel at best. No premium linens, toiletries, or impressive entry/waiting or or check in process to be seen or experienced . Asked to speak to a manager and was told by front desk that here is an email address to whom you can contact and no manager on premises at a “luxury” hotel. Area around the hotel was terrible with bums sleeping and passed out in front and other individuals witnessed peeing on the wall across the street from hotel. Would not recommend , especially as a family with kids.

The hotel was very nice and the beds were super comfy. The rooms were very clean also. We liked the decorations and ambiance in the hotel as a whole. The neighborhood was a little interesting. The look of the hotel online didn't seem like it fit in the neighborhood it was in. We were not in the area for a long period of time, it was just an overnight stay and then we were on to the next destination, so it was all good for the time we were there.

One of the best family rooms ever had in a hotel - well designed for 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids). Fun cartoon decor, lots of storage, spacious.

It was okay but keep in mind it’s a family-oriented hotel so you’ll definitely hear your neighbors walls are really thin. Cleanliness wasn’t great the bathroom smelled strongly of urine and there were questionable marks on the walls. The cleaning staff does come by but they mostly just refill toiletries and make the bed don’t expect a deep clean.
