I would not recommend this place. But not for the reasons you might think. The place was nice enough. The problem is the process of actually getting inside the apartment. Very disorganized and unprofessional. You would think that once you pay on Hotels.com that the process is finished. Nope. There is additional cleaning fees and city tax that are not covered by the Hotels.com price. It does say that in the Hotels.com listing. But this should not be so complicated. When I got the email confirming my 5 night stay at the place, it said there was a mandatory fee DUE AT THE PROPERTY. But that is not the process used.
To summarize:
1) Got an email the next day stating that it was "urgent" that I pay the fee and taxes immediately. Apparently you cant pay it at the property. There is no one there.
2) When I contacted them back they said they did not have a reservation with my name. I had to give my reservation number and my Hotels.com receipt.
3) You have to use a link provided and use your credit card to pay the fees online. I paid it.
4) You have to use another link they send to "register". You have to input your credit card again. And scan your face. and upload a pic of your passport.
5) The key to the apartment building is 2.5 blocks away in a combination lock box.
6) There are no instructions on how to enter the building.
7) The next day they sent an email stating that I had not paid the cleaning fee or city tax. I reached out to one of the hosts but they never replied back.
