Value and location

Hola . Put it this way , it’s great hotel ,when it’s come to location and valuation . I guess what I’m trying to say with a money you pay it’s totally worth it . Also I need to give a big thanks to the boss . He was very kind and helpful . Also if you are into the gym . There is a gym just Oposit of the hotel , for one day entrance 150 Around 2 or 3 us dollars . And it’s open from 10-22:00 pm . You can have your quick work out . Thanks for having me

Safe basic accommodation with helpful staff

Convenient, very safe location right in the middle of all the action. Property is older--torrential rain during my stay led to roof leaks in the hallways/landings with buckets catching the water. Breakfast was minimal, some croissants and toast. Stairs are steep, no elevators. Security is excellent as front door is always locked. Staff are very friendly and eager to assist the hotel guests. I did notice the wood floor in the room was very dirty, as after walking just a dozen steps or so the bottoms of my feet were black. Also, during the shower, the hot water would just randomly turn off (I don't mean turn cold, I mean turn OFF completely) and then 2 minutes later turn back on. This happened 3 times during one shower. Overall, I would say this is a fair value for the money, given the location and the helpfulness of all the front desk staff. Despite the few flaws, I would still stay here again in the future and would recommend this to travelers who want a good deal in the heart of all the action without spending a fortune. Note that the neighborhood is very noisy (not the fault of the hotel of course) so if you are a light sleeper, this area of Palermo could be a problem. The hotel guests themselves were all respectful and quiet.

Nice place to stay. Nothing special about it but nothing wrong either. Friendly staff. Rooms are basic but do the job. Excellent neighbourhood around Palermo with great places to go out and eat/drink! Wifi only works in the reception area.

Great location with incredible staff

Incredible location in Palermo but what sets this place apart is the staff. We arrived into BA very early morning, and flew out at midnight, and they were very accommodating allowing us to check in early when we arrived, and access a shower the day we left before a long flight home, and helped us out with any questions we had during our stay. Vibe is more like a b&b than a hotel or hostel, and location is close to lots of great bars in Palermo.

We were supposed to stay 4 nights but checked out after the first morning. Small room with mold in the corners, blood stains on the sheets, and the shower only ran freezing cold or very hot. Not a pleasant stay.

Small room, fine for a night or 2. No elevator, narrow stairs to navigate to 2nd floor. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby. Tried Hola Jacoba - latkes with salmon, a new fav. Pablo & Dahlia were a big help in booking Colonia Express tickets, the kind of service you would not find at larger properties & very much appreciated. Breakfast simple, but with croissants that good, very pleased.

Great for those who want to stroll Buenos Aires

This hotel is in a wonderful location. We walked around the neighborhood to shops and restaurants and also to the Botanical Gardens. The staff provided maps and oriented us to the neighborhood upon arrival and they stored our luggage so we could enjoy our last day in Argentina before heading to the airport.

Home away fro home...

This place is truly amazing! The staff is first class, super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Happy to assist with anything you may need; restaurant recommendation, tour reservation or even sorting out your laundry at a great price :) The location could not be any better, very close to the old city/historic centre with many amazing restaurants, but far enough to be a very relaxing and quiet. ... and finally the "icing on the cake" - the espresso machine and the afternoon cake!! I miss this place already!

Good value for Palermo

Decent place for the price. Clean and the water was hot. Friendly staff. Don’t expect a mint on your pillow; those are available in the neighborhood but at three times the price.

Great place to stay!

Very friendly staff and owners. Great value to stay in the Palermo Soho area. Room was large, air conditioning worked good, and lots of hot water for the shower. I highly recommend this hotel!

Overall I would recommend Republica Palermo. The only slightly downside is that it was a bit of a walk to the subtle (about 15 minutes), which you need to take to get to many of the tourist attractions in Buenos Aires. However, it is close to many great cafes, restaurants and bars and it is a really beautiful area, so it depends what you're after in your holiday.

Overall the Republica Palmero is a great option to stay for relatively cheap in the Palmero Soho region of Buenos Aires. Agustin at the front desk is extreme helpful and even emailed me the day before asking for flight information and on how the best way to get to the hotel is. Everyone else working was extremely nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Had some struggles figuring out the hot water but after we did there was no complaints. The wifi didn't reach our room too effectively but was fast and free in the lobby. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cheaper option in Palmero Soho.
