This was a great stay - super friendly staff, room was very clean and had all the necessary stuff (soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper, etc). They also have a pool & jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise and after a long hike it was just what we needed! Lots of parking spots available. We would definitely stay here again :)

Pros: cheap and convenient Cons: literally everything else. The entire building looks like no renovations have been done in 30+ years. The doors don’t shut properly, which is a safety issue. There was no phone in the room, which is another safety issue. The mattresses were very worn and in poor condition, the electrical outlets were so poor that the plus would not stay in on their own. Our room was missing multiple lightbulbs, the fire sprinklers were so rusted that I’m not sure they would have worked in case of emergency. There was a giant hole in the bathroom ceiling. Just overall a very poor and unkept property.

This is a decent property, a bit on the older side in terms of decor. We're here just for one night to visit the college and it's two and a half blocks from the University so that works out perfectly. They don't have a kitchen however there's a Target right across the street and each room comes equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave which was really useful because on Sundays the restaurants close a little bit earlier than we could have gotten here. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped carry my luggage up the stairs. The entrance / lobby area was incredibly hot a bit like cigarettes but I'm glad that the rooms were non-smoking. Pretty clean room but like I said the curtains and bed quilt and furniture or something bit on the older side.

We reserved a room for a grandson who had a flight out to Texas early the following morning. The afternoon of his flight we received a call from the motel manager reporting that the grandson had left a debit card and $200.00 cash in his room. We'd like to acknowledge the management and staff for their honesty. Highly recommend the Anchorage Motel for their convenient location, reasonable rates and honesty.

We found this hotel lacking the quality that previous reviews gave them. I think they were false, there was absolutely nothing exceptional from the service to the poor condition of the room. Regardless of the high season and there high rate, the owners are not even trying to keep up with maintenance, torn dirty curtains, to the dirty stained chair and filthy carpet, the gym had worthless stepper machines, and broken elliptical. This is family owned hotel isn't worth taking a chance on. I'll never stay in another family owned hotel. They certainly don't care about making their clients stay clean and comfortable ( bed was terrible too) just they're pocket book.
