We had booked a reservation with the host a month in advance, however the host cancelled our reservation 2 days before our arrival. The host stated that he has only 1 room that can accommodate 2 people, even though the original posting said: 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper for a max of 5 people. After we explained our discontent, all the host said was that he had accidentally put incorrect information. It was very inconvenient for us since we were coming abroad and lost our reservation last minute and the host did not provide any sort of assistance. All the host provided was the refund with no apology or any extra money for the inconvenience.
We booked this property through Expedia. We waited for instructions as mention after booking. We did not received any instructions or email from the host. We try to also make contact as the date got closer but still no responses. On the day we arrive, I message the host a few time prior to our arrival and still no response.
We contact help desk and virtual agent and still no resolution. We were stranded without entry to the property. I contact customer support directly and they couldnât even contact the host either. About 2 hours after we rebook a separate hotel and customer service reimbursed reimburse the difference for our stay.
