Lovely simple B&B in a farm in a quiet village near Cambrai. An hour and a half from Calais. Xavier is a delightful host, room is quiet and comfortable and continental breakfast is made special with the most delicious homemade jams.
Was fĂŒr ein Abschluss des Urlaubes.
Liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr angenehme Ausstattung, warmherziger freundlicher Empfang.
Unkomplizierte Abwicklung aller Formalien.
Hier kann man auch eine Nacht richtig ankommen. Jederzeit wieder
What a beautiful place to stay at. Our host Xavier was an absolute pleasure with a lovely sense of humour. In short, the hotel is worth every single penny. It is located in a beautiful, gated court yard and there was nothing we could fault about the accommodation, cleanliness, service or amenities. Ribecourt-la-Tour is a village steeped in the history of WW1 and you are reminded about it everywhere (Xavier has even unearthed shells and parts of tanks in his fields). I am torn about recommending this beautiful hotel as I want to keep it a secret for my next visit but that would be doing Xavier a disservice!
Huone siisti ja mukava. Hotellin omistaja todella epÀystÀvÀllinen, kun muka tulimme "myöhÀssÀ", vaikka tulimme silloin kun ilmoitimne. Aamiainen hyvin vaarimaton . Hotellin ympÀristösdÀ ei yhtÀÀn mitÀÀn
A wonderful B&B in a charming village, with a helpful and friendly owner - thank you for a pleasant stay.
Although we only stayed overnight on our run from Alsace to Calais the welcome we received and the comfortable room (and rainfall shower) we're just what we needed after our previous 7 nights in the campervan.
After booking to stay here I found that the village had been central in the battle of Cambrai in WW1 and there was a British war cemetery half a mile from the B&B. The cemetery is impeccably maintained, but probably doesn't see many visitors so I made a point of visiting and laying some of the wild poppies that grow along the road. There is also a second cemetery (The Railway Cemetery) a similar distance in the opposite direction.
We would definitely stay here again on our way either to or from Calais (about 1.5h drive).
Lovely place to stay, close to Cambrai - peaceful, beautiful and the nicest host in Xavier.
Room was immaculate, spacious and clean.
Breakfast was as awesome as our host, Xavier who was kind and genial. We loved his âorchestraâ of watering cans.
Hope to return.
