I’ve stayed in various rental homes along the East Coast, and I feel compelled to share my experience at this Poconos rental, hoping to spare others from a similar disappointment. The property has potential with its location by the stream and space available. However, the indoor heated pool was too cold for winter use, and the check-in process was frustrating due to poor communication and a lack of internet access. Upon arrival, the house was not well cleaned, with sticky surfaces and dirty dishes. My opinion, The cleaning crew needs an upgrade as well as the home.I inquired about the rotted out BBQ grill, and while they provided a new grill after I reached out, it delayed our dinner. The Wi-Fi was inadequate for the game room, and the beds were uncomfortable—my family found the couch more pleasant.I was warned that hot water would be scarce if two people showered at the same time, and that proved true for all of us during our stay. Overall, I don’t believe this home is worth the price; I’ve had much better experiences elsewhere for far less money. While I appreciate the effort made by the host to extend our checkout time, the overall lack of comfort led some of my family to leave early. With a claim of sleeping 20, accommodating 11 was a stretch. I hadn’t read reviews before booking, and it seems that this home may not have many for a good reason. As a business owner, I believe a rental at this price point should have better, working amenities. I just feel let down.
