Very rustic and not particularly well kept. Old furniture and worn out mattresses. Lots of steps. The lake is great. If you need a lot of space, beds and bathrooms, this place has it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We found the place to be very family oriented with lots of things to do at the cabin from games to a hot tub. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen and sitting out on the beautiful deck overlooking the water. We were lucky in that we had beautiful weather for December!! My son in law enjoyed snowboarding at Bristol. All in all, a great place to unwind from the holiday season!!
Property is well maintained and as advertised. I would have loved to stay longer. As others have mentioned, this is a hillside property with many stairs. I would highly recommend this property to anyone other than those with mobility concerns.
The location of this property is ideal for people who want to spend a lot of time by the lake. The boat house has a bathroom and fridge, so you can limit your treks up and down the stairs with a little planning. We used the kayaks multiple times.
The tennis courts are really nice. There is even a very nice spectating structure with shade and several pieces of outdoor furniture up there. And ample rackets and balls for anyone to use.
The houses themselves are all pretty basic, but certainly satisfactory for our purposes. We were there to enjoy the lake and be outside, so it was ideal. The owner took us out for a boat ride, too. Which was very nice.
A great stay. Would recommend to anyone who didnât mind their sleeping quarters being spread out a little.
Although the area is very nice, the kids all had a good time on the dock and the water trampoline, but for us older adults, the stairs / steps everywhere were formidable. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that were posted and the kitchen area served us well for our family dinners. Seating indoors was limited and we spent much of our time outdoors on the back deck. This deck definitely has a downhill slope that was difficult to seat the little grandkids since the chairs would tipple over. The entrance is a bit intimidating especially if you bring your own kayaks / paddleboards since trailers are difficult to negotiate the tunnel and parking is mostly on the hill above the house. The family made the best of the vacation, but I was disappointed in the description.
Lots of space for families - bring your pickleball gear!
There were 16 of us ages 14-80. This place is not for those who have mobility issues. We enjoyed our stay and the property. We got lots of use of the tennis court - we played pickleball for hours! The hot tob was nice as it was chillier weather. We brought our boat so we were on the dock a lot and the boys fished from the dock. The biggest drawback was the driveway is quite steep and the canopy is limiting if you have a big truck ( say, for pulling the boat) and shuffling cars is tricky. We also had water pressure issues in the main house. Whenever someone was showering or using the laundry there would be almost no pressure anywhere else. The other houses had no issue with this. They could use a bit more large sized cooking pans for those of us trying to cook for big groups. The patio was nice with a beautiful view of the lake. We sat out there every morning and evening. The Sun room was great for dining or playing games and bird/critter watching. Overall it was a great family vacation.
The property was a perfect size to visit with a diverse group of friends. The sleeping arrangements were able to accommodate a diverse group of couples and single persons. Group meals were a bit of a challenge if all guests from main and guest houses dined together in terms of spacing. In general, it was great for a weekend getaway or longer. The location on the water was picturesque and absolutely enjoyable.
