What I saw online was not what I experienced in person. The property is old.The sheets are stained and discolored. The entire property needs a revamp. The pics online are what it looked like when it first opened but now… it’s poorly kept. The staff is very unwelcoming and rude. You can see their facial expressions with irritation when you asked for simple request such as a beach towel. Overall I will rate this a zero! I will never recommend to anyone or stay there again.

Staff is not nice, not a lot of amenities, toilet did not flush well, the restaurant doesn’t have good food, a lot if restrictions in the hotel, I felt like I was punished. they didn’t make an effort to make us feel welcome. Continental breakfast was good, the pool is great. I won’t book this hotel again. There are so many hotels in that area that you can book any but this one.

View was awful- car park and maintenance sheds – and they seem to object to people enjoying the pool facilities and having fun! They have a rule where you’re not allowed to have fun at the pool and you’re supposed to be outside the water’s edge, half-dead and getting skin cancer. Menu at the restaurant was very small, expensive and did not cater to any dietary requirements.

The only good thing about this place is the older lady in the restaurant bringing you the breakfast. Anything else here is bad. I was there for 4 nights and the room smelled like sewer because under the restroom sink there is a drainage that made the whole room smell bad. I stayed in the first floor my room had a hot tub. The first night the hot tub didn’t work so they accommodated me in another room the following night. The hot tub was disguising i only went in once. There was mold in the showers and all over the room. The metals had rust the curtains and furniture was old and out dated. It looked like they found it on the side of the road. Be careful with the people next to the receptionist selling you the tours and excursions they give you a price and then it turns out to be 60$ more once you check it bank statement. Once you pay you can’t get a refund. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Disgusting hotel ever. Me and my family arrive at the hotel and checked in the room. The room was dirty. Mow everywhere black stuff on the walls black stuff in my bedroom however I asked to switch my bedroom. They made it an issue since I stated I want to switch my room. They had fake security come upstairs to my room And stay to my child’s father no smoking in the room. Why would you tell us that if you already told us that downstairs, I felt like since he was black, they automatically thought he smoked. They changed my room. There was no phone, no microwave and no Internet connection to be able to watch TV. The outlets did not work in the room. I went downstairs to book excursions and I was charged a $63 and I asked what for he couldnt give me a reason, I went to my excursions that I paid for beforehand. Once I got there only my child’s father was able to do the surgeons and I was unable due to the package. They gave us at the hotel that they lied about when I got back to the hotel and I confronted them, they act like they couldn’t speak English now I feel like we was robbed because we couldn’t speak their language and we was being overcharged. When my child’s father went on the beach security kept following him around even when he asked why are you all following me then we began to get uncomfortable because we had a child with us. When leaving they charge us $118 just to leave because they stated that we were smoking and we was not

The pool was nice. The food at the restaurant was outstanding but service was horrible. It took 30 min to get coffee and another 30 to get our breakfast. Originally the room they put us in had a blinking light, no balcony and smelled awful. They moved us once I showed them my confirmation which included a balcony. Chipped paint everywhere, dirty walls and doors, leaking shower. Bed was comfortable. I brought a white noise machine thankfully, otherwise it would have been very loud. This is definitely a budget hotel and the pictures far outweighed the reality.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cyan resort and spa. The pool and beach views were spectacular. The staff was very helpful they had great attitudes. Overall the rooms were clean the property needed some updates. Yes I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends. It's not a 5 Star resort but it makes up for it with a great beach location and access the VIEWS from your balcony are amazing

0 star on everything hotel is not what it looks like in the pictures, the room dirty not updated, old, ac didn’t work for two days, something was on the beds because I had red little spots on my legs and hands, very bad service in receptionist. The only resin I have a 1 star is the location the beach is amazing with amazing views that’s all. If they update this hotel it will be amazing.

The room was horrible, sheets and robes were dirty, the faucets and lamps were filled with rust and mold, bathtub was filthy. Requested a change but the alternative was just as horrible and was costing more. My sister was becoming sick from the mold so we booked another hotel and requested a refund after a back and forth dialogue with the hotel manager she agreed to refund the money directly to expedia. We informed expedia of the situation sent proof of the correspondence including signed paperwork issued by the front desk staff at the directive of hotel management. To date we have yet to receive the refund and all we are getting is run around!

We had a canceled flight and this property was only 10 minutes from airport so we chose it. We were very impressed with the staff, the pool and the beautiful beach location. The waves were very big here but the beach and water were beautiful. The beach chairs probably need replaced but other than that beach was great! Pool was large and clean, pool bar was small but bartender got drinks out quick and they were good. Not fancy but good value for the money. Our bed was AWESOME! We have stayed in Cancun/Playa/Tulum/Isla Mujeres probably 20 times and unlike 90% of the beds we've had this bed was extremely comfortable. We had a lower level pool front room with steps that went right out to our pool cabana. The room also had a 2 person jetted tub that we didn't use. The water pressure and hot water were also great and not always very good at other resorts. For the money this place was amazing. I don't know that I would want to stay more than a few nights as there isn't a lot of food choices or entertainment nearby and the resort is pretty minimal but I would highly recommend for anyone needing a night or two on a budget.
