The property was fantastic. Not only was it clean and modern, but the people treated you like family. The pools were kept up and the beach was gorgeous. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach but that wasn't the hotels fault, they tried as much as they could to get rid of it. We have been blessed enough to have stayed at other Riu hotels in Cancun but this one really stand out.

This resort was overall nice, and the staff did a great job keeping everything clean and well-maintained. The beach area was beautiful, the ocean was enjoyable despite some seaweed (which they can’t control), and the drinks and service were excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff was attentive—the best part of the resort. That said, the resort felt very small compared to what I’m used to, with limited activities. The nightly shows were underwhelming, with most feeling like low-budget entertainment (and many primarily in Spanish). Food was disappointing—fried options were the best, and surprisingly the buffets were better than the sit-down restaurants with long waits. Another drawback is that many perks, like certain drinks and restaurant options, are reserved for ‘elite club’ members. Realistically, there are only 5 restaurants and 3 bars for standard guests, and all pools/bars close by 6:30. The resort does offer parties at another property, but getting there and back takes 30+ minutes and you don’t have access to the same amenities. Overall, the resort is clean and has a great staff, but the food and entertainment were a letdown and there isn’t much to do. Unless you’re looking for a very quiet, small-scale resort, I would not recommend it.

Everything you need for an adult only resort. All the food is amazing. With it being small, it is nice and easy to get around! There is always something going on and if you want more of a party, free shuttle to their other resort theme nights.We will book again.

Steep stairs not much difference between elite and regular rooms are the same only difference is a cup a black band a restaurant (food was good ) and maybe 5 top shelf liquors but if you order from the pool they give you the regular stuff that will still do the job no lights after 6 outside it was dark only inner pool lights if your looking for a up happening party not the place they do have a shuttle to take you to other riu locations

The resort itself was nice, but unfortunately the food was disappointing overall. We didn’t enjoy the Asian restaurant, and most of the other restaurants we tried didn’t meet expectations—we actually chose to eat out several times because of this. The one exception was the steakhouse, which was excellent. If dining is a top priority, this might not be the best choice, but if you’re looking mainly for a beautiful setting with a solid steakhouse option, it works.

Beautiful, well-kept resort with amazing staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool with the swim-up bar and the sports bar lounge were highlights, and housekeeping kept our room spotless daily. The property has great vibes, nice music, and a friendly atmosphere where it’s easy to meet new people. Staff worked tirelessly to maintain cleanliness, and the restaurants had a great setting, though Sunnakku and the steakhouse were the standouts. That said, this is definitely a party-heavy resort. Rooms had very thin walls—we could hear what sounded like housekeeping moving furniture as early as 8:00 a.m.—and sound carried through the showers and hallways. Depending on location, you may also hear stage shows until 11 p.m. Beds were uncomfortable, and food overall was subpar, aside from the two restaurants noted. We also tried the spa: therapists were excellent and consistent, but rough massage beds and outside noises (what sounded like ATVs) made it hard to fully relax. Overall, this resort didn’t fit our preference for a quiet, restful getaway. But if you’re outgoing, love late nights, and want a high-energy atmosphere, you’ll enjoy it here. The staff truly made the stay shine.
