Property is as described and as seen on the pictures; I wasn't expecting more:
PROS:
-Condo is right on the water, the view is spectacular
-Air Conditioned. Cancun is hot and humid, coming back to a cool place was a plus.
-Parking. We decided to rent a car to explore the city and the surrounding areas and parking was always available.
-Fully equipped kitchen. We only cooked on our last day in Cancun and everything we needed was available, even some condiments were in stock.
-Quiet. We were out of the condo for most of the day but when we came back to the condo to sleep, we didn't have to complain to anyone about noise.
-Security. The complex is gated and offers security 24/7, a couple of guys roam the complex day and night which provide some sense of security.
-Made Service, HUGE!!! love the fact that a lady can come anytime to clean your mess, be considerate, it is one lady for a huge house.
-Three rooms!!! perfect for my two kids, spouse and I plus an in-law
CONS
-Condo needs a little bit of work, it is understandable that the property is right on the water so metals will corrode easily, but some of the furniture needs updating to give it a more welcoming feel.
-It was a little pricey. Unit is cheap when you compare it to single room hotels but expensive when you compare to other condos around the area. My advice is that you book waaaay in advance to get the best price, or if you don't mind staying a little further from the water then do so.
-There is a strong smell, that we could not explain what it was, after our second night we were used to it that we didn't notice it the rest of the week.
-I had to reach out to the owner two days prior to our arrival because we didn't have a key, a code or instructions on how to enter the unit, a map of the complex to find the unit would have also been helpful. Gale called me personally to give me the code to the door and to explain how to get to the unit which was kind of helpful. I still think that a quick map and directions from the airport are needed to make it easier for guests.
-Lastly, we could not get the TV to work, the control remotes were unresponsive, this was the last of our concerns since we spent most of our time outdoors anyway.
In summary, I loved the location, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of the price, the smell and the semi outdated furniture. At the end, the pros outweighed the cons and would probably stay here again if Gale allows us to comeback.
