Pass thru Main bedroom to Bunk Bed room with TV - good for families and close friends. W/D. Walk in shower. Nice little patio out front.
The space
This place is so cool! Built in 1890, it's filled with character and history. We are located in the historic district - not in a traditional neighborhood. Slightly industrial with the train depot and Alta next door, but set back enough to provide privacy and exclusivity. It's fantastic for walkability to the town's historic Main Street (1.5 blocks) and the delightful Arkansas River walk trail (5 minute walk). About the same to the popular Royal Gorge Train ride.
The home feels like a loft with 13' ceilings and an open floor plan. There's bead board on the walls and ceiling. Main living are has huge wall mounted flat screen TV and leather couch. There's a vintage hifi stereo system with turn table and smart phone cable jack. Mid-century modern decor including tulip dining table and Eames type chairs. We also have a desk area.
The kitchen has been updated and expanded with lots of counter space for cooking or other projects. Fully furnished with pots and pans as well as spices and other essential equipment like coffee maker and water kettle. We've got nice knives and cutting boards.
The main bedroom features 4 windows and gets beautiful morning light. The king bed has comfy pillows and organic cotton sheets. There's a huge flat screen smart TV. Knock off Eames lounger completes the space.
Pass through the main bedroom to the Bunk Bed room, featuring a queen bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. A third smart TV sits on the dresser. (You must walk through the main bedroom to get to the Bunk Room). See last photo for floor plan.
The bathroom has a walk in shower. We provide a hair dryer. Laundry is available.
Out front there's a great little patio deck with a couple of chairs and a few plants.
You may park right outside the front door.
Owner's private art studio and workshop located next door. Owner's do NOT live on site but are just a few minutes away. We self manage and take great pride in providing exceptional value and experience.
With just one bathroom and vintage plumbing, this is not a place for gathering other than registered guests. Please do not plan family reunions or cookouts. This will pose a problem. Thank you for understanding and respecting our property.

Royal Gorge Train
Perfect location for Canon City. Nice selection of vintage vinyl records, even a guitar! Well equipped kitchen, the money saved on Dining and only needing one booking for the family covered the additional cost for this wonderful apartment. Perfect for families and friends that want to stay together. Good access for our aged family members also. Emily (Hostess) is delightful.

Wonderful place to stay in Canon
Being newcomers to Vrbo, we were so happy to have found and booked this place for our stay in Canon! First, the owners/hosts were absolutely delightful, being very friendly and responsive to our questions. Self check in/out was very easy, the apartment has designated on-site parking near front door and entering this place was absolutely delightful after a long days drive! Every room is beautifully decorated with an over all cool, relaxed vibe. You know right away this place is owner loved and cared for! The kitchen has everything (and then some) for preparing and enjoying meals, Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, both bedrooms had comfortable mattresses and quality linens for a good nights rest, plus the hosts provide so many niceties (soaps, shampoo, conditioner, books, records, games, ect) that made staying here all the more special and enjoyable. We were a little concerned about it being near a train depot but rest assured this is not an issue at all as the apartment was very quiet. We only occasionally heard the train while outside enjoying the patio area. The apartment location is fantastic being only a short, enjoyable walk to downtown shops, coffee houses and dining. Lastly, with my husband being somewhat of a “shower snob”, he wanted me to highlight that the shower and water pressure were both excellent here! We highly recommend this lovely apartment, it’s hosts and we absolutely will be looking to stay here next time we visit.

My husband and I decided to stay in Cañon City last minute because we had reservations for the latest train ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, and didn’t want to drive late at night. The apartment was so nice, with tall ceilings, and a very open layout. We also loved the decor, and overall vintage vibe. Check in was clear and easy, and check out was so simple (especially compared to a lot of other stays we’ve had). We appreciated the quick responses and communication with the owner. We hope to return and bring our kiddo next time. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Power Plant is a perfect spot!
The property was clean and spacious, the kitchen was well appointed and all the extras were graciously provided. Right next to the train and highway but you honestly couldn't tell with how quiet it could be inside. We would love to stay here again next time we're in Cañon City

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place and our host. The location is great - walkable to centennial park, railroad, and restaurants. Short drive to skyline and tunnel road trailhead. The space is so beautiful and comfortable. We have stayed at a lot of short term rentals, but this one stands out. The beds and linens are so cozy, and there were little personal touches around the house to make our stay extra comfortable. Truly a well hosted experience, not just a place to crash. I highly recommend!
