We stayed at the Cedar house and the queen bed in the loft area was phenomenal. Had a bit of a hard time with the shower, couldnât get the water to regulate to warm, was either very hot or very cold. Other than that, we had a nice stay.
We stayed in the Tiny Cedar House rather than the above pictured tiny Adirondack house. It was located on a grassy flat lot along with the Adirondack house and one other tiny/small house, off a beautiful scenic road, 5 min to St Lawrence University and downtown Canton.
Pros:
1) very good communication with owner, Dylan. He quickly answered any questions that came up and got us a few more towels promptly when I requested them.
2) Easy check in. House was clean , warm and cozy waiting for us.
3) House had the essentials all squeezed into the tiny space.
Cons:
1) Difficult with a larger dog that insists on sleeping with you as the climb to the lofted bed is not easy to get a dog to do or to carry a dog up.
2) the climb to the bed - although we were fine with this, some may not be. it required climbing up boxes, with handles available. Note to owner: the first box was not that sturdy and my husband who is 230lbs was afraid to step on it for fear of it collapsing. I'd hate to see a problem in the future.
3) although the lawn was freshly mowed, we dragged alot of grass clippings in on our feet without realizing at first - quickly gets the tiny space messy. Also, it would be more aesthetically pleasing from the outside if the weeds along the house were cut back and maybe some shrubs or something put in. Just a thought.
Overall, the place was quite cozy and we agreed that we would stay there again, just not with our dog. it was very affordable, and Dylan is a great host.
It was cute in concept and would be better if the floors weren't rotting out, it was actually cleaned and dusted. I cleaned the filters myself and wiped down some of the layers of dust. The dust made for an uncomfortable stay for us as we were coughing and sniffling all night and awoke with sore throats.
This was an affordable option to a hotel. I liked it because it was peaceful and didnât have noise from neighboring rooms etc that you get with a hotel.
Had a super two day stay at the Tiny House. It's very homey and comfortable. My daughter brought some college friends over to hang out for a while and they loved it too. They are encouraging their parents to use the Tiny House. Don't let its size fool you, you will love this place!
Great stop on our tour of fall colors. We needed a place for our dog to stretch her legs and looked for a quiet country stay. Perfect. Very tiny, as advertised, but peaceful and all we needed!
Literally âŠ.. my kids pulled in to meet us and thought they were staying too. My daughter made a Tik tok video that went viral. She was poking fun at me not the house. The owner has multiple tiny houses - all brand new condition - nice and clean with a great open yard that has picnic table, chairs, fire pit and grill. Awesome experience and great owners.
Clean, comfortable place to stay at a really reasonable price! I really appreciated all the amenities that were there - very warm, welcoming place to stay. I like that it helps support a family, too!
What a great stay we had in the tiny house! Of course it's small, but the bed was super-comfy, there was coffee, creamer, and oatmeal for breakfast, and response from the host was excellent. Would definitely book again!
The Blue spruce tiny house was a perfect spot for me and my fiance to stay for our New Years getaway! The property was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
